Since both of my parents worked, I grew up understanding the almighty power of the slow cooker. So much so, that this very slow cooker is one of the first things I bought for my own "adult" kitchen. Being able to program how long it cooks and have it bump to the warming setting automatically is great, especially when you plan to be out of the house all day. Then you just get to walk in to the smell of a finished dinner. It's great for making a million different things (a roast, pulled pork, mulled wine — the list is endless), but it really shines as a soup machine. The low-and-slow cook times really let all the flavors soak into the broth, and you can make a ton at once!

This kit includes a five-piece bamboo steamer, parchment paper rounds, dumpling dough roller, filling wooden spatula, agar agar powder, instructions, and recipes!
Promising review: "I really liked the dough roller in this kit. It's definitely easier to get the dumpling wrappers nice and thin. Be sure to carefully read the measurements for the agar-agar powder, you don't need a lot. Though the agar-agar bag might look small, there's probably enough to make 15–20 batches... maybe more. It does take some time, but we were surprised how well the dumplings turned out on our first try! My brother loved it. They were DELICIOUS!" —Kim

This sweat-proof and leak-proof food jar will keep food cold for 10 hours, and food hot for five hours. But note that it is hand-wash only.
Promising review: "I love this thing. I work 12-hour security shifts in a building that does not have a microwave. I tried literally three other thermal containers before this one, and was really upset when my soup was cold every time. This thing had my soup very pleasantly warm after five hours! To achieve this, I did pour boiling water into it first, dumped that out, then added my soup that had just come off of the stove. So I recommend those steps if you want the product working as you hope it will." —Sylvani

Great Jones was founded in 2018 by Sierra Tishgart and Maddy Moelis after they struggled to find the right tools for their own kitchen. The name "Great Jones" is in reference to Judith Jones, a cookbook author and editor who championed and published the work of Julia Child among other top chefs.
Promising review: "I never knew how badly I needed this pot until I met it. I’ve been doing a lot of cooking during the pandemic so my boyfriend’s mom generously surprised me with one of these pots. I can’t imagine my life without it now, I use it almost every day (and I look forward to it??). I bake breads in it, braise meats, cook stews, make soups, roast then bake... you name it. The convection is perfect and everything just cooks so well, no flavor lost or scorched. AND! It cleans better than any other kind of pot I’ve ever owned. Which my boyfriend appreciates :) It’s fabulous. I’d rate it 10/10 if I could." —Liz K.

Promising review: "This Shabu Shabu Pot is very similar to the one we had at our table in a Shabu Shabu restaurant in Hawaii. Not sure how much we will use it but we had a wonderful dinner right after we purchased it. It is big enough for four easily. The separate compartments allow for two individual recipes that could easily serve two from each compartment. My husband is thrilled, as he loves all soups. This is a very healthy and fun way to eat your veggies, seafood, and proteins. The only care that must be taken is the power supply. We used a heavy-duty extension cord to reach the table. You must take care the cord is well out of the way of diners. We have since purchased some 'instant' soup bases that we will eventually try. However, it is easy to find many recipes to use in this device. It was a fun and more unusual dinner experience at home. Recommend for smaller adult get-togethers." —Andrew

Promising review: "I bought this 'camping food' online for emergency rations in case I can't get out to a grocery store for a while. It's all good for one to five years, depending on the product. All other options I had seen were not organic and good for...25 years? Preservatives and American Comfort Food, oh my! But I held the thought someone had to be producing healthy, good tasting food that had a longer shelf life. Patagonia answered the call! I sampled the lentil soup and it was genuinely very good. Like I would cook, or order at a restaurant. Easy to prepare, Very happy with this food. It's the no-sacrifice survival food." —Estelle T
