Promising review: "I've had mild KP on my arms for as long as I can remember. It was not anything too bad but just obnoxious at times. I've tried exfoliators and scrubs and loofahs and many other products and none have ever worked as well as this one. I have been using this product for about two and a half weeks now (only three or four uses) and I am already seeing and feeling the difference in my arms. I was so shook when moisturizing my arms because they have never been this smooth EVER. This is my new favorite product and the only one to have actually worked on me. highly recommend 10/10" —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "My new favorite setting spray. I've tried everything from drugstore to high end and so far, this one is my favorite. It does not have much of a scent, sets my face well, and doesn't make my makeup look cakey at all. Also inexpensive! Going to continue to buy this product." —Daniella Forman

Promising review: "I love this stuff! I have used so many very expensive eye creams and this one tops them all! The skin under my eyes feels tight after I put it on and it shows. I don't have bags or puffiness EVER! I still have some of the fancier things left and they are just sitting in my drawer unused. You only need a little bit of this, which is hard to do because when you dip in you come out with a lot. I use what's leftover on my neck and it feels really nice. I'm 40+ and this is my new favorite. It really does the trick." —CrissyQOFE

For just five I didn't have much to lose so I decided I'd at least give it a chance. SO glad I did! This is definitely a new favorite. One coat and I'm good for the day, two coats and I'm ready for the night. Simple, lengthening, natural looking. I'm so glad I gave it a shot!" —Janey_monster

I have used this powder every single day since I got it and I used to swear by the Laura Mercier powder! I also have sensitive skin and so far it hasn’t irritated my skin. I'm not one to use much makeup on the regular but after using this mask twice I can throw on some mascara and leave the house comfortably, even to work! I don't think the smell is offensive at all; smells like eggs and sugar to me. It's only for a short time anyways. I say, suck it up and give it a try!" —christina

Promising review: "This dryer is amazing. I have waist-length thick, wavy hair. It takes hours to air dry. I let my hair dry for about an hour before I use it so it’s not soaking wet. I also apply a hair serum and a smoothing oil to my damp hair. Because of the brush size I’m able to do large sections. I wrap my hair once around the brush and slowly move it from the top to the bottom of my hair. I’m able to give myself a beautiful blowout in 20 minutes. My hair looks so straight, smooth, and shiny. This is my new favorite styling tool. I love the little handle part at the top, it helps me turn the brush easily while gliding it through my hair. The only little complaint I have is it is really loud." —CHRISTIE M COCKETT

I have very thick hair (I am biracial) and it is always difficult for me to find a product that defines my curls. This product has been one of the few that works for me. There isn't a heavy scent and it didn't make my hair too crunchy. The look lasts and doesn't frizz. This is my new favorite product for my curls. I highly recommend!" —Mary Grant

Dr. Loretta is a woman-owned and family-run skincare brand started by Loretta Ciraldo, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist with more than 40 years of experience.
My colleague Brittany Ross recently fell in love with this cleanser:
"I tried this Dr. Loretta gentle hydrating cleanser for the first time this year, and it's been a total game changer. I was blessed with dry, red, irritable skin, which only gets even more fun to deal with once the temperature drops — and face cleansers in particular tend to dry me out even more. But not this one! It feels like a dream on my skin, and in fact, my face feels even more moisturized after I've rinsed it off. True to its name, it's incredibly gentle, and my skin has never felt softer after being scrubbed clean. Definitely my new favorite out of all the skincare products I've tried this year (and I've tried A LOT)."

Promising review: "If you are looking for an affordable lip balm that actually hydrates your lips, this is it. I got an incredible lip balm in my birthday gift at a beauty store, but when I went to purchase a full-size version it was like $18. For lip balm? No way! So I looked for alternatives and found a lot of recommendations for Jack Black. I am SO glad I decided to try it. This is just as good as the $18 lip balm I originally wanted and it's less than half the price! This is my new favorite and I will be repurchasing this as long as they continue to make it." —The Tiny Redhead

Promising review: "I like these better than the Cosrx patches; they stick better and they are thinner. Also appreciate the tea tree oil. They are a little more expensive but I think you get more patches. I prefer the large patch that I can cut myself into the size I need. The other patches are much easier to pull off because of the pull-away design, but I am finding that they are pulling away when I don't want them to. The packaging would be better if it was wide and shallow, But overall, these are my new favorite patches." —aes

Promising review: "My new favorite product. This is a very light coverage cream with sunblock benefits. It doesn't conceal any imperfections but it does a great job of neutralizing redness. I would compare it to a color-correcting primer but with the feel of a cream. It's perfect for a 'no makeup' look. It goes on kinda pale green and makes you look ghostly for a few seconds then turns into a beige shade, nice and neutral without any orangeish oxidation. There's also a kind of herbal smell to it but I like it — reminds me of tea grass. The smell is light and doesn't linger too long if you're sensitive to scents." —CharmCityQueen
My coworker Elizabeth Lilly uses this stuff daily. Check out her Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment review for more deets and a compelling before and after.
Promising review: "This oil is my new favorite daily moisturizer! I use it everywhere, not just on my face. Smells nice, too. If you use it sparingly, it doesn't leave oily residue. My skin glows when I use this!" —Hazel Detweiler

Apoterra is a woman-owned skincare brand founded in 2012 by Dominique Caron in response to her own frustration with the lack of eco-friendly and effective options that worked for her sensitive skin. Their products are produced in small, traceable batches with Earth-friendly ingredients.
My fellow BuzzFeed writer Brittany Gibson has fallen hard for this facial mist:
"As someone who has acne-prone skin, I am constantly trying new skincare to see if a 'holy grail' product actually exists — and this, my friends, is IT. It's a pH-balanced, hydrating mist with vitamin C and niacinamide that does it all, from clearing up your skin to brightening it. I've always had some stubborn bumps on my skin and ever since I started using this they've vanished (!!!). I cannot emphasize this enough. Not to mention, this complexion mist is nicknamed 'liquid gold' and I totally understand why. It's also SO easy to apply. I mean, you just mist your face a few times and you're good to go. Ta-da! Basically magic. Oh, and it contains no essential oils or alcohol, just good ol' natural ingredients (neroli water, green tea, and willow bark, to be exact). It's my new favorite skin product. I cannot recommend it enough!"
Get it from Apoterra for $18+ (available in two sizes).
