    On today's episode:

    1. It’s the Monday after the Oscars. So, obviously, we’ve got to break down everything that happened last night.

That of course includes the incredibly awkward way the show ended. Instead of concluding with “Best Picture” as the show has done for decades-- “Best Actor” was the final award of the night.

We all assumed that was because Chadwick Boseman was going to win the award posthumously, and that it would be a lovely moment. But nope--Anthony Hopkins won. He wasn’t even there to accept. End of show.

(Although to be fair, Hopkins released a very classy acceptance speech online this morning--where he honors Boseman.)

We’ve now learned a little bit about what happened. In an interview with Variety, an ABC executive explained their logic in changing the show’s tried and true format, saying quote: “It was a calculated risk, that I think still paid off because everybody was talking about it.”

To hash out everything that happened, we’re joined by BuzzFeed News entertainment reporter Krystie Yandoli.

    2. Barbie dolls are more popular than ever.
