A Water Bottle Accidentally Showed Up In The "Game Of Thrones" Finale Because This Is Where We Are Now

"Even the most important Lords of the Seven Kingdoms need to stay hydrated."

If you haven't watched the series finale of Game of Thrones, "The Iron Throne," yet, fair warning, this post contains mild spoilers.

Well, folks. We did it. We made it to the end of Game of Thrones...but not without some serious struggles along the way. One of which was an accidental coffee cup that popped up on camera in Season 8, Episode 4, "The Last of the Starks."

So, you'd think Game of Thrones' creators would have learned their lesson from that honest, but kinda glaring, mistake. But, I'm sad to say...they did not.

Because there was a stray water bottle in the series finale.

    a water bottle in King’s Landing!! #got #gameofthrones

The bottle appears in a scene where Tyrion — after being imprisoned for several weeks — attempts to appeal to the good nature of a newly formed council. It's a very quick shot, but if you know where to look, you can easily see the plastic water bottle.

And, yes, this is 100% real...again.

    A close-up for extra proof.

And, as if one bottle wasn't enough, other eagle-eyed fans actually found a SECOND water bottle in a different shot from the same scene.

@bethisloco @sandygrains It's not just there, I actually found the second water bottle next to Ser Davos. #GameOfThrones

I can confirm this one is real too. It shows up at the 49:06 mark.

    Another close-up for your enjoyment.

To be fair, the appearance of plastic water bottles poorly hidden behind actors' legs are not nearly as bad as the obvious coffee cup was. But, fans were still frustrated...

LMAOOO I CAN'T BREATHE THEY DID IT AGAIN 💀💀 First Starbucks now a water bottle this show is a joke #GameOfThrones #GameOfThronesFinale #TheFinalEpisode

THE WATER BOTTLE. THIS IS NOT EVEN FUNNY ANYMORE. We’ve had a coffe cup, a cameraman, sneakers, Jamie two handed, Drogon flying alone over KL and now a water bottle. Writing 🤝 Editing Being the worst GoT departments

Others, however, took it less seriously and just got a good laugh out of it.

Even the most important lords of the seven kingdoms need to stay hydrated. #gameofthrones #waterbottle

@bethisloco I bet they hid coffee cups and water bottles in every episode. We just have to find them 👀

@IGN Where in the 7 hells did Sam get a drink?? Dany burnt down all the Starbucks in KL?

Welp. We'll see if HBO decides to remove the water bottles like they did the coffee cup.
