    Sorry, But You Have Been Pronouncing Roald Dahl's Name Wrong This Whole Time

    If you were ever a child, then there's probably a 99.999998% chance you know who Roald Dahl is.

    You may not know his face, but the iconic children's author is responsible for such classics as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches, and OMG do I need to go on?!

    But did you know Roald Dahl's first name isn't pronounced like "ROLLED" (or however you'd phonetically write that out)?

    i.e. the way almost ALL OF US have been pronouncing it since forever ago.

    It is actually pronounced "ROO-ALL"!!!

    Yes, Dahl ALSO had a TV show that he hosted. It was kind of like a Twilight Zone-esque anthology series.

    My immediate thoughts: "ROO-ALL! RUE-ALL?! Like RuPaul, but without the P?!"
