It’s A Shade, Black And White Are Shades Not Colors.
Colors, Shades, and Shadows. There is a clear distinction between the visual rays of light that create our colors, shades, and shadows. We see a Christmas Tree, and we know it's green before we start looking for hot pink tinsel to adorn it. After learning our primary colors, we got confused and thought shades were colors. Skin tone is not a color it's also a shade of various color tones and color hues. I'm not a white girl; I'm an array of light blues, pinks, yellows, pale green, brown, and shades of grey. Olivia is giving us the facepalm is an array of yellow, blues, greens, browns and shades of grey. She has a darker tone of skin than mine. Underneath we share the same color blood, red, deep purple. Let's walk thru this elementary school lesson one more time. "Cool, warm, or neutral undertones are the colors that come through your skin from underneath the surface to affect its overall hue. It’s not about how light or dark your skin is; people of all skin colors, from very fair to deep, can have cool, warm, or neutral undertones."
