    1. Mean Girls (2004)

This cult classic had some scenes shot in California, but most of it was filmed on location around Toronto (including the University Of Toronto campus and the Sherway Gardens Mall in Etobicoke).

    2. Juno (2007)

    Fox Searchlight Pictures

This whole movie was filmed on location (and in studio) around British Columbia, Canada, including at a medical clinic, at a mall, and at a high school.

    Atlas Entertainment

Though a lot of the movie was shot across the United States, there were several locations used across Toronto in studio and on location (including the subway station at Bay street and Dundas Square).

    4. 50 Shades of Grey (2015)

    Focus Features

Other than a few scenes shot in Seattle, the rest of the movie (and the rest of the series) was filmed on location around British Columbia, Canada. The final movie in the series, Fifty Shades Freed also had some honeymoon scenes shot in France.

    5. IT (2017)

This remake of the Stephen King classic was filmed all across Canada including Toronto, Hamilton, and Oshawa (but there are scenes that were filmed in Maine, too).

This 1983 holiday classic was filmed partly in Ohio, but mostly in Toronto and St. Catharines (both cities in Ontario, Canada).

Certain scenes were shot across Massachusetts, but a lot of this heartwarming movie was filmed throughout Toronto, including a high school and the "Upfront Bar & Grill."

    8. Titanic (1997)

    20th Century Fox

This one may be a bit of a stretch since it seems the majority was filmed in studio in California, but there were scenes shot on both Canadian coasts (some in Halifax, Nova Scotia and some in Vancouver, British Columbia).

    9. The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

    20th Century Fox

Yeah, this movie was kind of filmed all over the place (Scotland, Japan, Los Angeles, Texas) but there were also scenes filmed in Toronto and Montreal Canada.

    10. Deadpool (2016)

    20th Century Fox

Besides one arena in Michigan, the rest of this popular movie was shot in different locations in British Columbia.

    11. Brokeback Mountain (2005)

    Focus Features

Most of this movie was filmed in Alberta, Canada (including places like Calgary, Cowley, and Lacombe).

    12. Hairspray (2007)

This movie musical had one shooting location in Hamilton, Canada but was mostly shot across different places in Toronto (including Lakeview Restaurant and a Gale's Snack Bar).

    Linda Obst Productions

The scenes where Ben goes to visit his family in Staten Island were actually shot there, but the rest of the movie was filmed in studio and on location in Toronto, Canada.
