Promising review: "I am allergic to cats so here I am with two cats who shed like crazy. Their hair is covering all the furniture. I have special pet covers on my bed to protect my comforter but I hate having to sleep under it since my cats sleep on my bed. I have tried so many cat hair remover brushes, gloves, sponges that never worked. I was ready to shave the cats and call it a day. Then along comes the ChomChom brush. It not only has the lint roller but a bar that collects the hair. I love the little hairball container of the roller so I don't have to spend time cleaning off the lint brush. I can't believe this product works! I have an off-white couch and I didn't realize how much hair there was. After I used it, my couch looked lighter in color. I got my comforter cleaned off in minutes. It's a simple and inexpensive way to cure your pet hair woes." —Dondi

    5. A mint-flavored Venus teeth-whitening pen that can brighten your smile by four to eight shades with regular use. Whether your stains are due to coffee, tea, more coffee, wine, yet more coffee...or soda, this is sure to help.

Promising review: "I have to say, I was skeptical about this product from all the TikTok craze about it but after trying it out, it really does work. I’ve used whitening strips before but those usually hurt my sensitive teeth and I hate the taste of some of the other gels on the market but this one was super easy and didn’t hurt my teeth at all and didn’t taste much different than my regular toothpaste, since I got the mint-flavored one. I used it for a few weeks before my brother’s wedding and it worked like a charm. I noticed visible results in only a couple of days and was able to keep using it until I reached my desired shade of white. 10/10 would recommend for anyone with sensitive teeth and tastes!" —Victoria Bravo

Get it from Amazon for $17.95+ (available in packs of two and four).

    6. A fur-eliminating broom capable of squeegeeing enough fur from your carpet that if magically animated, it would transform into one of Martha Stewart's Chow Chows.

Promising review: "This thing just plain works. We got a mature golden retriever last year and were told he didn't shed. Then in the spring he started shedding badly. We were tired of hair everywhere and somehow I realized that dragging my shoe across the carpet balled the hair up. I found this product on a whim one day and knew it had to be better than my shoe! I ordered it and it was tough at first. The bristles pulled the hair up but then caught the tufts and spread them around. I found that using short quick strokes with the rake turned upside down got the best results. The backside is more like a squeegee and helps pull the hair up in long rolls and keeps the hair in one big pile." —Nick V.

Get it from Amazon for $16.99+ (available in six configurations).

    7. An ~instant~ carpet spot remover you can rely on to get your space back in shape after you accidentally trip holding a whole bowl of queso. (It happens to the best of us.)

    8. A wad preventer to ensure your sheets don't tangle themselves up into a Boy Scout badgeworthy knot *and* not even get clean in the process.

a model showing a pair of sheets with the wad preventer
    wad-free clip on a reviewer's pink sheets

Wad-Free is a small biz from Cyndi Bray. Their products are made in the USA. Just pop the corners of your flat or fitted sheet into the device and you'll never have to deal with tangling and twisting again! Believe it or not (I mean believe it...the reviews are there) the manufacturer even says that your sheets will dry 75% faster and with fewer wrinkles.

Promising review: "I was a bit skeptical about a product that claimed to stop sheets from wadding up in the wash, but I was also very frustrated with sheets wadding up like a burrito and everything still being wet after the third time through the dryer, so I figured I would give it a try. It worked! It wasn't really hard to put on, maybe a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad. At the end of the was cycle, the sheet was not tangled at all, one corner had come free, so I reattached it and threw into the dryer. At the end of the drying cycle nothing was tangled! The sheet was not wrapped around anything and was dry. I would definitely recommend Wad-Free." —Hope

Promising review: "I was pretty skeptical of this goofy looking glove. But I saw it in an article of '21 things you must have for your cat'  and figured, what the heck. My big Maine Coone freaking loves this thing. It is mess free. My favorite thing about it is all of the fur comes off in one piece. It's not messy. And this is half the price than the ones you see at the store in the 'As seen on TV' section. Gonna make it a lot easier to brush my fluffy cat every day." —Breeze

Promising review: "I was a little skeptical this could actually work. I bought it because I was going to be in a wedding, and the makeup artist had to back out, so we all needed to do our own makeup! None of us are girls who are great at doing makeup. However, we wanted to try our best and gave this a shot to help glam up a little. We tested the stamping on our hands first to get the idea of pressure needed and after that, it was ridiculously easy to use. I'm a huge fan of it now, and one of the other girls plans to buy one for her own collection. It's super easy. However, it's not super water resistant, so don't cry but it was smudge and sweat resistant. I applied it at like 10 a.m. and lasted until I took my makeup off post-wedding at like 1 a.m. Love this product!" —Kindle Customer

    12. A professional-strength grout cleaner that can remove years — yes, years — of grime from your home's floors. Turns out, you had white grout all along. Who knew? 🤷‍♀️

A side-by-side reviewer photo of dirty tile and much cleaner, whiter tile

Promising review: "I never leave reviews on Amazon but this grout cleaner definitely deserved a review. I tried three other cleaners before buying Grout-eez and they did nothing but waste my time and money. Grout-eez got my grout perfectly clean in no time, plus it was easy to use and no odor. I'll never use another grout cleaner." —Tyler

Everneat is a Fairfield, Connecticut–based all-natural cleaning shop from Claudia and Angelo Zimmermann. Their oven cleaner comes with a professional-grade metallic scrubber you can use to scrub your appliance before wiping it down with a microfiber cloth.

Promising review: "Like many I moved into a house with a used oven. Keeping the typical grease and cooking messes at bay over the years has been a challenge, especially because of its placement in the kitchen (up against a wall in a corner). I tried vinegar and baking soda, Dawn dish soap, then fume-free Easy-Off, which, although effective, is more of a hassle to apply and remove (and wasteful, since I have to cover the heating elements with aluminum foil). Saw this product online and liked the non-chemical ingredients, and decided based on the reviews that it was worth a try. It's not cheap, but this is the only thing that got almost all the residue off my oven surfaces. Nice smell and didn't leave any scratches or marks. I highly recommend rinsing thoroughly and drying with a microfiber cloth for best results." —Irish Eyes

Promising review: "I'll let my pictures (above) speak to how amazing this works. I had a stained mattress that I'd been covering with a mattress pad for years. As I was preparing for a move, I decided to give OxiClean a try and see if it could remove the stains that had been there for well over SEVEN YEARS. I honestly don't even know what caused the stains, but OxiClean removed them. I took before, during, and after pictures (after pictures show the outline of water because I took them immediately after rinsing. I honestly can't believe the results. I wish I'd done this sooner!" —Little Greek

All of their products are made from powerful, plant-based ingredients and packaged with recyclable materials. My Shopping team colleague Danielle Healy is a fan (she took the photos above!), saying:

"I recently moved into a new apartment, so lately I've been cleaning A LOT. Shortly after moving in, my partner and I went to store something on the top of the kitchen cabinets only to find them caked in a thick layer of grime 🤢. After going at it with regular multipurpose cleaner (with little success) we broke out the scour paste as a last-ditch effort and OH BOY did this miracle product deliver (pics above). If it can handle that grossness, it's going to have no problem with day-to-day messes like soap scum and burnt-on food. Plus, it smells delightful and comes in minimal, low-waste packaging!"

Get it from Humble Suds on Etsy for $15.95+ (available in two sizes).

    16. A handy dandy bottle of powdered Bar Keepers Friend that'll cut through years of dirt, hard water stains, and rust with such ease, reviewers say the only explanation is witchcraft.

A reviewer's before and after photos which show a once extremely dirty white stovetop and now a completely clean stovetop
A reviewer's photo of a stainless steel pan that is tarnished on one side and clean on the other after being treated with the formula

The hardworking formula is safe for use on surfaces in your bathroom and kitchen — including cookware!

Promising review: "This stuff is like magic! Straight up wizardry. I love it! I initially bought it to clean my sink, which is porcelain and even though it's not even a year old, is just holding on to all the coffee and tea staining. I'd say it took less than a minute after making a paste with Bar Keepers Friend to clean the sink up to a nearly new shine. Taking a look at the can it's easy to find bunches of ways to use this stuff and each application is better than the last. Stainless steel, porcelain, ceramic, copper, brass, fiberglass, Corian, chrome and aluminum. See? Magic! Anyhow, I've used it in the sink, in the bathroom, to clean stainless steel pots and pans on a 17-year-old Revereware tea kettle (which I thought would never be restored to its former loveliness, BTW). This is a product that I will buy again and again and will happily recommend to anyone." —Nicci Stephenson

    17. A jetted tub cleaner so you're not bathing in the remnants of whatever products the previous homeowner used. (The absolute horror.)

the cleaner running with the water in the tub
the tub now fully clean after

Promising review: "This stuff is seriously amazing! I am relentless about cleaning my tub because I use it so often and always get grossed out if I don’t. Before I purchased this, I used the typical homemade recipe of bleach and powdered dishwashing soap. I’d have to run two or three cycles to get it crystal clear. One cycle with this stuff, 15 minutes, and the results are amazing! The first photo (above) is with my tub running with the solution. Then I drained it (second photo) and wiped it down with a sponge. When I refilled the tub up, and reran the jets, I kid you not the water was CRYSTAL CLEAR! See for yourself in the last photo! I’m so impressed!" —Chelsea

    18. handy wine stain remover because your area rug has had quite a few Cabernet encounters and you can only hide so much under the couch and coffee table.

    19. A DHC makeup primer you can apply before foundation or wear alone to absorb two of summer's most wicked characters: excess oil and sweat.

Reviewer's selfie to show makeup fully done with primer
Same reviewer, but after three hours of dancing to show how well her makeup stayed

Promising review: "I could go on and on about this magic face sauce, but instead I’m just gonna lead with the pictures from my random sweat test experiment and tell you what you’re seeing. I think it did a GREAT job of soaking up the oil on my nose and forehead, much better than any pressed or loose mattifying powders I use. The (picture on the right) is after I danced Lindy Hop, Shag, AND Balboa (all fairly rigorous dance lexicons in the swing dance family) for three hours in a hot crowded bar that had to be at least 90 degrees inside. According to my Fakebit, I did 20 thousand steps that night so I REALLY put this stuff to the hardest test I could manufacture! It’s lasted for forever, as well, so I definitely think it’s a good deal for the price. It’s small, but you don’t need a lot!" —Queenofthehouse

Get it from Amazon for $18.99.

    20. An Angry Mama microwave cleaner that, once filled with water and a dash of vinegar, will steam clean the grimiest of appliances. Hot Pocket grease, butter splatters, and burnt popcorn smells are no match for her.

A reviewer's before photo which shows their dirty microwave and the cleaner sitting inside
The reviewer's after photo which shows all the spots are gone and the microwave is clean

Promising review: "My daughter cooked ramen noodles for three minutes without any water. Needless to say, it was burnt and almost caught fire. I have scrubbed the microwave and couldn’t get the horrible smell out to the point it was giving me a headache. After several days I decided to order this before buying a new microwave. Got it today and used it and shocked it actually pulled most of the odor out that’s trapped in the upper vent. This $10 item saved me $200 to $400." —Angela D.

Get it from Amazon for $6.99+ (available in different sizes and packs of one or two).

The heavy-duty formula works on glass, ceramic, induction, radiant, and halogen stove tops.

Promising review: "When we moved in to our current rental it was clear that the previous tenants didn’t maintain the glass cooktop of the stove. I’ve tried many other products and a lot of elbow grease to clean it myself but nothing has helped, until this product! I saw it featured on a recent BuzzFeed article about superior cleaning products and I’m so glad I did. This is the only thing that worked removing years of baked-on filth."James

Promising review: "It’s like mascara for your hair! My coworker told me about this stuff, and I was skeptical. I have wild baby hairs from pregnancy, and they’re difficult to tame. However, this stuff does the job. It’s easy to apply, goes on clear, doesn’t make my hair look stiff or greasy. And it actually does become a smooth as the picture with one or two swipes!" —Losie

Promising review: "Not gonna lie, I was skeptical that this could help me. A few months ago I decided I would bleach my hair. I burnt it to such a crisp that I’ve literally been wearing it up under a cap. That worked when it was winter. But now it’s warm, so I needed a solution. I saw this product highly recommended on other sites and the reviews were good. So F it right? I ordered a tube. Used it twice now and OH. MY. LANTA. For months my hair has felt like crunchy noodles ready to snap at a moments notice. After one treatment (left in about 15 minutes after shampoo before conditioner) my ends feel soft!! After the second it actually moves like it’s not damaged and it is visibly SO much healthier. Like seriously idk how they bottled witchcraft. But I’m going to continue to use this product even when my hair grows out. An absolute magical miracle potion! I seriously prepared myself to explain to the world that it doesn’t work. But instead I have the healthiest hair I’ve had since being an idiot home hairdresser. 10/10 for less then $10." —Beth

Rocco & Roxie is a family-run small business making everything you and your pet need to live a clean and fun life. From treats to toys, they've got what you need!

Promising review: "I don’t know how I ever survived without this. There’s tons of 'pet stain/odor remover' products out there, but this by far is the absolute best. I cringed paying the $20 for it when others are between $5–$10, but I have NO ISSUES paying now. I foster dogs, some puppies, some older, some not housebroken, and every room in my house is carpeted except the kitchen, which means I have lots of accidents. I spray enough to saturate if it’s a lot of urine, let it soak for 10 minutes, then wipe it up with a hand towel. Then I put a larger towel on top of it if it’s in a high-traffic area until it’s completely dry. It’s taken out every stain and, more importantly, the odor is gone! I will never stop buying this product. I recommend it to everyone who has dogs!" —Shelley

    26. liquid callus remover that'll eliminate the hard skin on your hooves (ahem, :::clears throat::: feet) if you're too terrified to face the glorified cheese grater at your local salon.

Promising review: "I found an article on BuzzFeed that mentioned how much customers loved this product. I was very skeptical at first because I’ve tried so many products and techniques to repair my extremely cracked heels. I decided to give this product a go since it wasn’t very expensive. AMAZING. I am speechless. I wish I had taken photos before to show what an extreme difference it has made in just one application. It was safe on my skin, but I would use with caution after reading reviews of skin burn, however this product is the first product that does exactly what it claims to do. I will continue to use. And I’m not embarrassed to go to the nail salon anymore! :P" —K.H.

I finally really started paying attention and noticed my large toe pointing towards my second toe and a tender bump. I was skeptical that something this simple could help. I love these. Comfortable enough to wear in shoes. If the shoes feel too tight with the separators in, then I probably shouldn't be wearing those shoes anyway. I noticed an instant difference in pain. I'm sure it will will be sometime before I repair, but the difference in pain was noticeable right away. I'm wearing them all day including my runs, and it is completely comfortable." —Sara C.

Promising review: "I am a magnet for bites of all kinds and carry topical and medicines with me at all times — so I figured this would be a good product to see if it really works. I woke up with a bug bite on my arm so I used this little tool (three times per the instructions) — immediately after using, it stopped itching! And less than 24 hours later the bump/bite gone! There is a very faint red mark from using the thing, but a small price to pay IMO. Bottom line: it’s awesome. I’m carrying it with me everywhere!" —Rebecca

Promising review: "I have several houseplants that had stopped flowering, so I put a few of these spikes in the pot (there are directions on the back of package for quantity), and approximately a month after using these spikes, my peace lily had three flowers on it, and my African violet plants all got several blooms on them! This worked wonders for my plants that don't flower also! I noticed that my ivy and cactus plants started growing faster, and they became more green and healthy looking. I am very happy with this product, and I will buy it again." —Elizabeth

The one caveat is that you really do have to water it a bit every day. Once it takes off though, it grows pretty quickly! Within one week of planting this, we had 1-inch-long grass blades. One month later, all the patches are gone. Highly recommended!” —Jessica N.

Promising review: "This is the best, best, best item I’ve ever purchased for my dog, and also my family. Someone using the pen which has a precision tip
Reviewer's photo which shows half their tiled floor with dirty grout and half with fresh white grout after using the pen

Promising review: "Holy cow! I never thought my stained grout would look so good! These pens are so amazing. After a little priming, they go forever! They cover very well and are super easy to use and cover the darkest of stains! I am buying four more to cover the rest of the house. The tip does not get into the very end of a line due to the border, but I prime it a bit for excess paint and push it in with my finger. Also, this is great for those deep small holes or grooves that are in the tile that leave dirt spots that are almost impossible to get out. Just prime it over the hole and rub it in with your finer and wipe off the rest. I have very light beige tile, and the beige color pens blend perfectly. I would NOT recommend white unless you have very while tile. This beige will blend well with white as well. Cannot beat it for the price and the amazing job this pen does. One pen will cover about a 3x20-foot area no problem." —NatJH

    39. A tube of silicone grout whitener if you're dealing with mold and mildew that will. not. go. away. no matter how much you clean it.

Leave it on the area you're looking to clean for six to eight hours (no scrubbing required). Some reviewers with really bad mold/mildew note that leaving it on for longer and/or doing a second round of cleaning made a huge difference!

Promising review: "This stuff is amazing. Since we bought this place, we figured we had to fix the caulking because we tried every cleaner we know to get rid of this gross shower mold. Before we decided to fix...we gave this a shot. Now the shower is like new; probably didn't even need to wait the 5 hours, but glad we did. Saved so much time, labor, and money. 🙌" —Nacho Average Review

Check out our write-up of this magical fabric defuzzer! The battery-operated model requires two AA batteries that aren't included, but you can buy some right here!

Promising review: "OK, I don’t normally rave about things like this. I bought this on a whim in a last attempt to save my favorite duvet cover. The pills had gotten to the point where it was seriously uncomfortable to sleep with them getting all up in my leg space. I thought I was going to have to get a new duvet cover entirely. Along came this lil' baby. Not only is my duvet cover basically brand-new, but I have found a new hobby. I’m depilling everything. Sweatshirts, leggings, blankets, socks, anything that looks like it needs some love. It does the job quickly and leaves everything looking fresh. Hi, I’m obsessed. I can’t stop. I should send this back. I’ve started asking if my neighbors need anything depilled. I’m going to buy one of these for everyone in my life. Everyone needs to own this. Take it away from me." —Sydney Jensen

    41. A leave-in conditioner for little ones with curly locks that are prone to tangles and breakage. Keratin, plum seed oil, and olive oil combine to leave them with shiny, healthy, incredible-smelling ringlets you can't help but sniff.

Promising review: "This leave-in conditioner has been amazing not only for my 18 month old's curls, but my hair as well! It smells amazing, is very hydrating, and is well worth all of the hype it gets! I have seen a few negative reviews about alcohol being a main ingredient, but the agent being used is Ceteral alcohol and this is actually a HYDRATING agent that's used in a lot of beauty products. People see the word alcohol and immediately assume it is drying, BUT the chemical composition of this specific alcohol is great for hair that needs more moisture! I just felt the need to write this review because I have looked for a great hair detangler/leave-in for so long (and have even used luxury products) and this one has been our favorite by far :)" —Taylor Rose

buzzfeed editor's eyes before and after using the mascara with the done lashes looking darker and longer
    Kayla Boyd / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed editor Kayla Boyd tried this out and raves:

"As someone who isn't a big fan of false lashes (the glue irritates my eyes and I'm terrible at applying them) this budget-friendly holy grail does the trick for both lengthening and volumizing my lashes. After you've given it a minute to dry, it lasts all day long and doesn't smudge or fade. It seriously gives the effect of false lashes without the discomfort."

Promising review: "After using Lights, Camera, Lashes by Tarte for the past year, I got tired of breaking the bank over mascara. My sister suggested Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love. It provides dramatic length and great volume. I can honestly say I can’t stop looking at my eyelashes in the mirror every single day because of how awesome they look. Also, it is very long-wearing. I go from an eight-hour workday right to the gym and sweat like wild...and this stuff doesn’t budge! I love it!!" —Carrie E Miller

    43. A posture corrector if three years of working from home has left your spine in questionable condition. (It me.)

Promising review: "This is WONDERFUL! I’ve been experiencing middle back pain for some time now, in part because my posture is bad. After the first few hours, it was greatly alleviated. I leave it on for a few hours, take it off for a few, and put it back on again. First relief I’ve had in a long time! But that’s not all. It is so well made, unlike any other posture corrector I’ve ever had, because it is 1) easy to put on, 2) made of comfortable material, and 3) brilliantly designed so that it doesn’t make you feel constricted. Furthermore, the hook-and-loop straps that adjust are narrower than what you stick them to so, unlike others I’ve had, they don’t overlap and scratch you! I am so grateful for this! It’s the greatest!" —Marylynn G. Stults

Before you buy this though, make sure you talk to a pediatrician regarding signs and recommended treatments for cradle cap (seborrheic dermatitis).

Here's more from my colleague Heather Braga

"My son had a few areas of cradle cap on his head that was, honestly, pretty gross. I used a gentle shampoo, a wash cloth, and this brush to remove it painlessly while he was in the bath. He didn't even squirm, he just let me repeat the process three times until all the cradle cap was gone. The thin comb was so essential to the process and quickly removed all the flakes."

Promising review: "It makes removal so much easier and gives more consistent removal than my previous method of washcloths or just scratching the cradle cap off with my fingernails. It’s amazing, gross, and wonderful. My babe doesn’t even flinch when I spend 10 minutes clearing his scalp of all the goo. It seems to be soothing to him. I just apply baby shampoo, then brush a little with the blue brush. Then I slowly start to comb in sections all in one direction. Then I go back and forth in multiple directions. It’s shocking the amount of dead skin that comes off. I’ve even used it successfully in his eyebrows (he gets some cradle cap there, too). This is a KEEPER!" —ZMomUtah

Promising review: "I've been a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser fan for a long time. My husband works with metal and works on cars so there is oil, grease, etc. everywhere in our house... and the bathtub is awful. They were the only thing to get rid of it. UNTIL I FOUND THESE! 1 MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN THE MAGIC ERASERS. Hardly have to scrub to get the tub clean now. I've used one for three bathtub cleanings and I'm sure I will get at least five more uses out of it. I'd get maybe 1.5 cleanings from the other brand. I'll never buy another brand again other than these. They will last forever — the package was much bigger than expected for the price. Just buy them... worth it!"Briana M.

    47. A mildew remover made specially with outdoor fabrics in mind. Spray it on your patio chairs, porch swing, or awnings and watch it wash away ground-in dirt. Then, after that, liberally spray it on your siding, tiles, gutters, and roof, too.

Promising review: "I don't often write a review of a product. But this was so impressive, I thought I should let others know. We have a set of vinyl outdoor chairs that were constantly covered with mildew. When we were feeling ambitious, we'd take the time to power wash the chairs, which worked pretty well but was a lot of work. The problem was that a couple of days later, the mildew was back almost as bad a before. With this mildew stain remover, we sprayed the chairs, let them sit a few minutes, and hosed off with a regular garden hose. Easy. And they were cleaner than they ever got using the power washer. When we put the chairs away two months later, they were still clean." —Christine A. Simonson

a reviewer showing a wart on their thumb
the same reviewer showing the wart practically gone after using the pads

Promising review: "This worked for me. Here's what happened. First bandage: Everything turned white. Second bandage: The top layer of the wart started disappearing and I could see the blood vessels that were inside it clearly. Third bandage: It started burning while wearing it. One day was REALLY painful, but now I think I just put the bandage on too tight. There was definitely burning though. Uncomfortable, not unbearable. Fourth bandage: The skin around the wart started to crack. Fifth bandage: The skin continued to crack and I could see the wart separating. Sixth bandage: Skin separating deeper. Wart was really soft but it wouldn't budge. Seventh bandage: The wart stuck to the medicine, so when I pulled off the bandage, the wart went with it. I'm left with some raw skin that's a bit sensitive but it feels fine. It looks like the entire wart came off, roots and all. Side note: It smells horribly. Make sure you put the bandage on tight enough to try and conceal the smell, but not so tight it hurts. Overall, not a horrible process. Make sure you follow the instructions and keep it on for 48 hours at a time. Two of mine were only on for 24 hours and I think that prolonged the process." —Chelsea Gipson
