5. The school's "lost property" consisted primarily of your clothes.

7. And your parents knew about your school life without you having to tell them.
8. Which meant you could never ever get away with being naughty.
9. Your mum would come home with random things she’d confiscated by accident.
10. She always carried a first aid kit in her handbag.
11. And you always had those school scissors and pritt stick in your house.
12. You had an unspoken agreement that you wouldn't acknowledge each other as soon as you were on school grounds.
13. You were never sent to her classroom to avoid nepotism.
14. You were a member of all the after school clubs.
15. And you felt a bond with the other kids whose parents worked in school.
16. You could gossip about the secret things you knew about other teachers and students.
17. And you thought you were fancy AF because you knew the teachers' first names.

20. And you'd secretly judge whose work was the best.
21. Your family probably owned a guillotine.
22. And you spent many evenings surrounded in laminating.
23. You were never allowed to throw things away because your mum was always collecting things for crafts.
24. Your mum was on all the school trips.
25. And she had a little notebook of all the naughty things the kids had done on the school playground that day that you were desperate to know.
26. Your mum knew all the kids at school and she still asks about them like you're best friends.
27. But by far the best thing about your mum working at your school was that your house was filled with chocolate at Christmas, Easter, and at the end of the school year.
