17 Things We Learned From Hanging Out With Charli XCX

    We sat down with Charli XCX while she was in Australia to find out some things we didn't know about the British singer and all-round legend.

    1. She once had to break into her own dressing room during an awards show.

    "I was at the American Music Awards a couple of years ago and we got locked out of our trailer, our dressing room," Charli told BuzzFeed. "Nobody would open the door so we had to crawl through the roof. It was me, my stylist, and my manager crawling through a small hole which was pretty weird."

    2. In her opinion, the best awards show to attend are the NME Awards because everyone gets "truly fucked up".

    3. Someone once threw a gun under her tour bus, turning it into a crime scene.

    4. Out of everyone she's toured with, Katy Perry and Marina and the Diamonds have been her favourites.

    5. If she could feature on any soundtrack, Charli would pick Freaky Friday.

    "The Freaky Friday remake soundtrack with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, it's so good. I used to want to be in the band, Pink Slip, that was in the movie."

    6. If she was to start a girl band she'd call it The Tampon Girls.

    7. For Halloween she threw a massive party with 100 of her most hardcore fans...

    8. ...and it had to be shut down by 10.30pm.

    9. She has a bit of a Bill Murray fetish.

    10. But when she finally met him, she was too starstruck to say anything.

    11. If she could party with anyone, she'd choose American singer Andrew W.K.

    12. Charli would rather be a witch than a vampire slayer.

    "I just read his book and that guy did some fucked up shit. I just think it would be really fun to have the experiences that he had with playing all these stupid tricks on people. He seems like a very hilarious guy."

    15. When it comes to the Spice Girls, she wishes she was more like Posh Spice, but realistically she's more of a Geri.

    16. She thinks the most annoying thing a romantic partner could do is steal your clothes and not give them back.

    17. And the weirdest thing she owns is a giant pink cow.
