OK Yes Disney Is Great And Everything But DreamWorks Is Where It's At

Shark Tale aka an iconic movie that nobody seems to respect.

This is a public service announcement: You guys need to start appreciating DreamWorks animated movies because I'm tired of the disrespect.

You tell them theamazingladygeek, keep spilling that tea.

Let's start with Shrek, shall we? I mean come on, Shrek was genius!

And it was a much more realistic fairy tale to teach kids about true love.

Not to mention that it was meta AF, what with the kingdom of Far Far Away resembling Hollywood and celebs including Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.

Now for a super important movie: Shark Tale!

I mean, I'm not here to tell you it's better than Finding Nemo, but it's up there.

Bert and Ernie were a fantastic double act, let's not lie now.

The fish even manage to look like their actors!

Not forgetting that it gave us that classic Missy Elliot and Christina Aguilera duet.

Madagascar was an absolute riot, let's not forget about that gem.

Chris Rock as Marty was fantastic.

Ross Geller (fine, David Schwimmer if you insist) also did a pretty top notch job being the voice of Melman.

But the penguins were the standout stars.

Not to mention Gloria should've won an Academy Award.

OK yes, Bee Movie was a little strange.

I honestly cannot tell you why there was a woman falling in love with an animal, much less a bee.

But in its own way it's kind of low-key iconic? It's at least a guilty pleasure.

Kung Fu Panda had the voice of Jack Black and it was just pretty great, don't let anybody tell you any different.

I mean, a movie about a fat animal whose only hobby is basically eating? I've never related to a movie so much in my life.

A Bug's Life is fucking fantastic, let's not get that twisted. But remember Antz?

And Home starred Rihanna as the voice of the main character, so if it's good enough for her then it's good enough for me.

Also I have a thing for the DreamWorks logo. It's just always fun, y'know?

So yes, Disney is amazing, Pixar is awesome, and so on and so forth. But let's not forget about DreamWorks, K?
