Rihanna Says She Refuses To Let People Feel Neglected After Her Lingerie Brand Was Praised For Its Inclusivity

"That consumer is one that's been neglected before and I'm not gonna let that happen here."

Rihanna has been praised for making her brands inclusive AF time and time again, and it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the New York Fashion Week show for her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, the singer, beauty, and fashion mogul said that she'll never let down the people who have felt excluded in the past.

"I have a unique opportunity to change things," Rihanna said before admitting that the love from people who finally feel included in the lingerie world makes her feel a little pressure.

"It makes me feel like now we can not neglect those consumers," Rihanna continued. "That consumer is one that's been neglected before and I'm not gonna let that happen here."

Springboarding on from that, Rihanna spoke about her love for Lizzo, calling her a "badass" and "everything Savage stands for".

"Your attitude is what makes you Savage," Rihanna concluded. "It's the confidence that you have in yourself and it's the confidence that you give off to people who look like you and feel like you, and those are the people that identify with the brand."

This isn't the first time that Rihanna has opened up about the inclusivity in her makeup and fashion ventures. Speaking to ET after the launch of her Fenty Beauty line, she said that "all women deserve to feel beautiful" and "deserve to have a choice and an option when they go to the makeup counter".

The Savage X Fenty show streams on Amazon Prime 20 September. You can watch Rihanna's full interview, where she gives an update on the state of her album, here. Spoiler alert though: it's not good news...
