Kim Kardashian proved that she takes the role of big sister very seriously as she jumped on Instagram recently to defend Kylie Jenner over that face washing video.
For those who need a little context, the drama started when Kylie released her latest beauty venture, Kylie Skin. The skincare line has already been a huge success, selling out in less than a week.
However, despite receiving praise from beauty critics, people online began criticising the products, even before they'd been released. First of all, people took issue with the walnut face scrub, which many said wasn't actually good for the skin.
Then, Kylie received backlash after she uploaded a skincare tutorial. People accused her of not washing her face properly, pointing to foundation marks that could be seen on the towel after she'd dried her face. As well as this, some felt that using a filter on the video defeated the object of promoting a skincare product.

And that's when big sis Kim decided to step in. Hijacking Kylie's Instagram story, Kim managed to defend the video, promote the products, and throw a little shade at her younger sibling, all in less than 90 seconds. The talent really jumped out.
"I'm gonna teach you guys how to do a tutorial on how to wash your face," Kim began. "And bitches, I only have 10 seconds, what do you want me to do in 10 seconds? I would've done the exact same thing."
Picking up one of the products, Kim made sure to note that Kylie Skin is, for the most part, sold out. She continued: "So, guys, what is the big deal here with a 10-second video? That's all she's got."
Kim then hilariously switched to the baby-face filter, joking: "OK, so after that 10-second face wash tutorial, this is now what I look like. I have such a youthful complexion now. Kylie Skin is the fountain of youth people! All you need is three seconds. I didn't even need a whole 10 seconds!"
But, of course, Kim wasn't done yet. She couldn't resist poking some fun at Kylie's foundation mishap, saying: "She left out that you use these wipes first before you get the foundation..."
For the most part, people found Kim's video hilarious.

However, others weren't really buying the excuses.
She couldve just made her story longer so theres that, the foundation left over, the filter, & the fact she didnt even care to edit or fix it. So instead of just taking responsibility and ownin up to that shit “tutorial” she get her sister to shade everyone else as if we’re wrong

But either way, it looks like Kylie is laughing all the way to the bank, so I'm sure she doesn't mind a little criticism over what has so far been a hugely successful launch.
