You don't know why it is, but the things that are red just don't stick in your memory as well as things that are other colors. Red objects and redheads just aren't as memorable to you!

Red repeller!

You see and remember red objects just as well as you see anything. There isn't a particular part of your brain that singles out red things or redheads to make them more memorable, but you don't try to block them out of your memory, either!

Color neutral!

The color red sticks in your memory longer than most other colors. For some reason, how bold and deep it is lingers in your brain more than something that was, say, yellow or blue. Take pride in knowing you're an expert on red things and redheads!
