We asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us the parenting moment in a movie that gave them all the feels, and the responses were both beautiful and heart-wrenching:
1. "In Love, Simon when Simon's mom tells him that it's time for him to finally exhale. As a closeted teen who often wonders how my parents will react when I come out, this scene hit really close to home. I sobbed uncontrollably for the rest of the movie."
2. "In Life is Beautiful when Guido is in the concentration camp with his son and goes to great lengths to make his son believe that the experience is all just a game. I’m crying just thinking about it."
3. "The scene in Pursuit of Happyness when Will Smith's character takes his son into a public bathroom to sleep. When the janitor starts banging on the door and he cries while desperately holding the door closed with his foot, I'm a mess."
4. "In Thirteen when everything completely falls apart and Tracy's mom just holds her and kisses the cuts on her wrists while she breaks down. I've always found it so powerful. There is nothing that needs to be said."

He truly considered her a daughter, and honoring her wish for him to pull the plug was an extremely tough decision for him."

13. "John Q broke my heart, hands down. When he created a whole hospital hostage situation with a gun that WASN'T EVEN LOADED to save his son, my heart burst, and when he was preparing to kill himself to literally give his heart to his son, I cried like a baby."
14. "In Dumbo when his mother is locked up and singing 'Baby Mine' while rocking him in her trunk. When they pan to all the other mothers with their babies knowing they'd do the very same thing, I die every time."

Instead, he totally rejects her, speeding away leaving her devastated in the driveway. When her mom calmly walks over and picks her up to comfort her, I get choked up. Because that's what a mom does for her child, even if the child has been awful to her."
18. "In The Patriot when the smallest daughter, who never speaks, finally does so just when Mel Gibson's character is leaving for war. When she starts yelling, 'Don't go, Papa! I'll say anything, just don't go!' I ugly cry so bad."
