James McAvoy Found A Sharpie At The Oscars And Had A Brilliant Idea

He actually might be smarter than Professor X.

So, the lovely James McAvoy (you may know him from Glass or X-Men or Atonement or maybe Penelope if you have excellent taste in rom coms) was at the Oscars this week, where he presented with Danai Gurira.

This caused a minor stir on Twitter, since a lot of people hadn't heard his Scottish accent before.

    Can I marry James McAvoy’s accent? #oscars

People were a little thirsty. It's understandable!

Anyway, when McAvoy found a red Sharpie marker randomly lying on the ground at the Oscars, he got a brilliant idea. He started having celebs use it to sign his shirt.

And by the end of the night (he left a bit early, he said, because he was jet lagged), he revealed the purpose behind the autographs: He plans to sell the shirt for charity!

james mcavoy found a sharpie on the floor and instead of leaving it there like any other human being would, he took it and got other celebrities to sign his shirt so he could later sell it for charity. we really don’t deserve him

Twitter user @asgardianspider thankfully captured this vid from McAvoy's Instagram story and shared it.

McAvoy said in his video that he isn't sure about the details yet in terms of which charity and how/when the shirt will be sold. But he does have a link to donate to Ronald McDonald House in his Instagram bio, so that's a possibility.

Oh, and if that wasn't enough to make you think he's a perfect angel, he also stopped during his video to thank all the workers at the ceremony.

So basically, if he wasn't already, James McAvoy is your new fave. Okay? Okay.
