Can You Pick The Holy Grail Out Of A Bunch Of Imposters?

"Choose, and choose wisely," says the knight. "The true grail will give you immortality, but the others will bring only death."

As you drink from the chalice, you feel a warmth enter your body. "This is it," you think. "Immortality." But less than a second passes before that warmth turns to a burning fire, and you feel every cell in your body deteriorating. You stumble toward the row of chalices, hoping to grab the true grail and save yourself, but it's too late: Your skin turns to ash and your bones to dust in an instant.

You have chosen...poorly

As you drink from the grail, you taste the cool, stale water and feel...nothing. You turn to the ancient knight guarding the chalices, who gives you a slight nod. "You have the gift of immortality. Remember that it is a gift, and should not be used for evil, or for personal gain." You nod gravely, as you secretly consider your new career as a vigilante crimefighter.

You have chosen...wisely

You drink the strange blue liquid from the goblet, then look at the ancient knight guarding the chalices for approval. "Why did you choose that one?" he asks. "That thing had some kind of weird magic potion we got from a witch back in the 12th century. I have no idea what it does." You nearly black out from the pain that hits you, but it quickly passes; when you regain your senses, you find that you have been transformed into a marmot. You live out the rest of your days burrowing through the ground and generally doing marmot stuff.

"You were so close," says the ancient knight who guards the chalices. "That's not the Cup of Christ — that's the Cup of _Chris_. He's a guy who used to hang out here and he just left his cup. Don't worry though, you're not going to die or anything."  
You ask if, since you didn't disintegrate into a pile of dust, you get another chance to choose.  
"Nope, sorry," says the knight. "No takesies-backsies."
