The Inspiration Behind Billie Eilish's Avocado Instagram Username Will Have You Loving Her Even More

    Everyone's fave emo teen, Billie Eilish, stopped by BuzzFeed to play with puppies and answer some fan queries.

    And one of the questions that she addressed was about the inspiration behind her IG handle.

    For those of you who don't know, Billie's IG handle is @wherearetheavocados.

    As a Billie stan who's been following her for quite some time now, where her random AF handle came from is something I've always been curious about but never thought I'd get the answer to. Billie's just mysterious like that.

    BUT ALAS! When she was asked about why she chose that name for her handle, I was gobsmacked by how simple her reason was:

    "Six years ago, I wanna say, I was in my house, home alone, making a grilled cheese," Billie said. "I was almost done, you know, I was getting everything ready and I wanted some avocados, so I opened the fridge and was like, 'Where are the avocados?' And in my head I was like, that'd be funny if I made that my username. And then I didn't even do it! But then, a couple of days later, I was like, 'What was that thing I said? "Where are the avocados?"' That'd be funny as hell.' So I made it my username."

    Yup. You read that correctly. Our fair Billie just wanted to put the finishing touches on her grilled cheese but was missing a crucial ingredient. Gotta love how she turned a negative into an iconic Instagram handle!
