The Chokey scene in Matilda. Apparently I was carried out of the theater because I was screaming so much in terror. I say "apparently" because I don't remember a thing...must have repressed that memory.
The handmade gifts and cards. Working with preschoolers each day, I see how much time they spend working on writing out their letters or on perfecting their drawings, and knowing that they've spent that much time — if not more time! — outside of school working on those things instead…Â
