Universal Pictures almost stopped _The 40-Year-Old Virgin_ from being made because they thought Steve Carell looked like "a serial killer" in early footage.

"For the first month I couldn't breathe, so I would smell menthol to make me think I was in a wide open space,"[Stone](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I93_8o4pTAA) said. "But after about a month, my organs shifted...because they have to. It was only temporary, but it was gross."

The corsets Emma Stone wore while filming _The Favourite_ were so tight (and historically accurate) that her organs physically shifted.

While this one IS made-up, it's not too far off from the truth! Warner Bros. hated the title _Beetlejuice_, so director Tim Burton suggested the title _[Scared Sheetless](https://www.indiewire.com/2013/03/5-things-you-might-not-know-about-tim-burtons-beetlejuice-100152/)_ as a joke, and the studio LOVED the suggestion. To Burton's horror they tried to change it to that terrible pun, but Burton put his foot down.

False!

The original title of _Beetlejuice_ was _Holy Sheet, We're Ghosts_!

Christopher Daniel Barnes may have sounded mature, but he was only 16 when he played Ariel's dream man. Meanwhile Jodi Benson, who voiced Ariel, was 28 years old at the time of recording (which is ironic, since Ariel is supposed to be 16, while Eric is meant to be the older one).

Another trick question! While Radcliffe was not in consideration for the role, it was actually his _Harry Potter_ co-star [Rupert Grint](https://hellogiggles.com/reviews-coverage/movies/hilary-duff-love-interest/) who was originally supposed to play Hilary Duff's romantic interest in the teen rom-com.

Daniel Radcliffe was originally supposed to play Austin Ames in _A Cinderella Story_, but couldn't because of his _Harry Potter_ commitments.

As wild as it is, in earlier drafts of this groundbreaking film, the villainous Judge Doom was not ONLY the killer behind Eddie Valiant's brother's murder, but he was ALSO the heartless hunter who killed [Bambi's mother](http://www.dorkly.com/post/76680/8-details-that-almost-completely-changed-your-favorite-movies).

As if he wasn't evil enough, Judge Doom was originally revealed to ALSO be the hunter who shot Bambi's mother in _Who Framed Roger Rabbit_.

"They [the costume team] were like, 'What is it that you want?' and I was like, 'I want to dress like Guy Fieri,'" [McCarthy](https://www.facebook.com/thechewonabc/videos/melissa-mccarthy-reveals-why-guy-fieri-was-her-inspiration-for-her-bridesmaids-c/1800333933359578/) said. "I tried to get this in the movie, but it didn't make it in, but every time I took off my sunglasses, I'd put them on the back of my head."

And finally, Melissa McCarthy's Bridesmaids character was heavily inspired by the Mayor of Flavortown himself, Guy Fieri.
