I highly recommend trying them in 2021.
I have tried my fair share of beeswax wraps, and boy, oh, boy, do I love these ones the best. Not only are they made in Canada, but they're a lot thicker and more mouldable than the other versions I've tried. The design is also painted by the founders mom, which, if we're being honest, is the cutest thing I've heard in my life.

I 👏 love 👏 this 👏 blender 👏. I crush a lot of cashews for salad dressings and nut milks and this baby does it with ease. It also comes with three cups, so I don't have to do dishes immediately after making one thing. I can just rinse the blade, switch the cup, and get to blending something else. Speaking of cups, it comes with three, and two of them have sipping lids, so my boyfriend and I can take our smoothies to go. There's also one flat lid, which is great if you want to store your culinary creations in the fridge.

This is my favourite quick-fix product for when I want to feel a little bit more put together, but don't want to go all out with my 52-step beauty routine. It also doesn't leave my hairs feeling crispy or flake off after a few hours of wear.

It comes with cleaning solution, a razor, and a scrubbing tool. I own this stuff and it works actually magic on stuck-on food and oil splatters. I've seriously never seen my burners look cleaner than they do after using this stuff, and I'm so happy it doesn't cost a fortune (but I'd buy it even if it did).

Before I got my hands on these, I thought they were gonna feel like adult diapers, which is not my vibe. I am happy to report that they are nothing like that. The seamless design doesn't show through my pants and the thong version is great for legging wearers. I can comfortably wear them all night long and my sheets don't have a single speck of blood on them when morning rolls around. Honestly, I don't know why I've been messing around with tampons for so long because these are great.

Flossing with permanent retainers is a difficult task, and these little doodads make the process so much less of a hassle. They easily slide under my wires and unstick pesky things (like popcorn kernels) without much work. I don't know what magic they were blessed with, but they don't make my gums bleed the way regular floss does, either (I have a very sensitive mouth). One last thing: they're über flexible, but don't break easily, so you can do a bit of brushing between your teeth without worrying about the bristles snapping off.

There is nothing that satisfies me more than an organized home, and this Dymo Label maker has helped me achieve that. It prints out aesthetically pleasing little labels that you can use on storage boxes, meal prep containers, and everything in between. I especially like using it for my spice containers, pantry jars, makeup storage, and plant pots (so I know exactly what's growing where). Unlike most electronic printers, this handheld device punches the letters into the stickers, which (in my humblest of opinions) is a lot prettier than an Arial font on a plain white background. Pro tip: If you want the text to be clear, you have to press the handle a little harder, but it takes very little effort (I promise, I am really lazy and would not use it otherwise).

I have a lot of plants, and many of them are demanding. Since I can admittedly be a bit of neglectful plant parent, I like to have a few secret weapons at my disposal that can bring my babies back to life when I've forgotten to water them for a few days (or weeks). This stuff does WONDERS. My monstera is absolutely obsessed with it and has since spawned several monstera babies thanks to its magic.

I love playing games, but I find a lot of handheld systems too bulky for my liking. This model is great because it doesn’t have joy-cons that slide off like the original and is a little less weighty, making it easier to tote around. It'll also save you a bit of money (it's over $100 less!).

I'm a big hot sauce fanatic — like, I could drink it straight out of the bottle and be happy about it. I have a few options in my fridge that are so dang spicy, I'm pretty confident they were forged depths of hell, but, hey, that's my jam. These ones by Heartbeat are a nice option for when I still want to feel my tastebuds after a meal. The red habanero is my go-to for tacos and breakfast scrambies, and I love the pineapple-infused one for burgers. They're also made in Canada, which is pretty neat.

My partner hates the fact that I hog every throw blanket in the house, so he insisted I hunt down one that was large enough for the two of us. I found this ultra-fluffy Bedsure one after a bit of scrolling on Amazon Canada, and wowee, do I ever love it. I got the largest size, so it comfortably covers both of us and our dog. It's, like, unbelievably soft, warm, but somehow lightweight, too. I comes with me from our couch to our bed every night, so needless to say I will be purchasing another. In what colour? Who knows. There are 21 shades available and I'm seriously having a tough time deciding.

I have a dog that sheds, and about a billion blankets that also shed. While those things are great for me, they are not great for my couch. I bought this lil' doodad to help me de-fluff and remove all the annoying pills from my sofa, and boy does it ever work. It has a razor head on one end (along with three interchangeable razors of varying intensities) that I use to scrape away pills, and a classic velvety lint brush on the other. It's worked serious wonders on my furniture and I've even moved on to brushing down my crewneck collection with it.

I'm obsessed with my ice roller. Like, I have recommended this to so many people I have lost count. It's great for cooling down when it feels like a sauna outside, it helps wake me up in the morning, and it saves me when I have a migraine. Unlike jade and quartz rollers, the roll-y part is made of gel, so when you pop it in the freezer it actually gets cold and stays cold for a loooooong time. It's also a lot larger than those doodads, so you can cover larger parts of your body, like your thighs and stomach (not just your under-eye area). TL;DR: Everybody needs to buy one of these immediately.

I love my plants, but sometimes I'm not the best mom to them. I forget to feed them on occasion and these little spikes give them a boost when I've been a neglectful plant parent. Using them is simple: Just dig a hole with the plastic tool, shove in a plant spike, cover it with soil, and let it work its magic.

This mask is made of bentonite clay and it sucks everything out of your pores – like, EVERYTHING. Using it is simple: you mix the powdery clay with equal parts water or apple cider vinegar (I like to do a combo of the two), and apply it to your face as you would any other face mask. When this stuff starts to dry you are in for an experience. It freezes your face in place and tightens up every pore, and makes you seriously look like a lizard queen (see above photo for reference). I’ll be honest with you, the feeling is not that pleasant, but hold on – the end result is worth it. You can also just do spot treatments if you don't want to cover your whole face. Check out our full review of the Aztec Secret mask to see before and after pics.

These are made of thick fabric, meaning they don't slip and slide around while I'm jumping around in HIIT exercises. They're also super comfortable and the three resistance levels work perfectly for different types of moves (for example, I use the heavy band for squats and the light one for kickbacks). You can also use them to help with mobility, if your arms are feeling a bit stiff.

I thought I'd gotten rid of my hormonal acne but hahaha joke's on me, it's reared it's ugly head again in 2020 (honestly, very appropriate for this year). This solution balances sebum and clears congested pores, leaving my skin with not but one zit, even when Aunt Flow rolls into town. It also takes, like, five seconds to sink in, so I can happily continue on with my skincare routine right after applying it.

I put my shoes through the wringer, and got to the point where I just couldn't take the look of dirty sneaks and destroyed boots any longer. Luckily, I discovered these boot wipes. They work on suede, rubber, fabric, and nubuck, meaning you can use them on pretty much everything in your wardrobe, which is awesome. They made my Blundstones look brand new and are great for removing scuff marks from sneakers. Basically, if your shoe collection is looking a little neglected, you could probably benefit from a pack of these.

When it comes to hair ties, I'm a pretty picky person. I hate the classic ties that dig into your wrists and I wouldn't be caught dead with a regular o'l elastic in my ponytail. However, my hair is super fine, meaning it slips out of almost anything I put in it, so just any old alternative won't do. Insert: Kitsch hair ties. These coiled ties wrap around my tresses and actually stay put until I'm ready to let down my locks (you know, like Rapunzel). Also, they don't leave indents in my hair, which is a blessing since my hair is very prone to getting bent out of shape.

I bought this because the winter got the best of my nails, leaving me with hangnails galore. I actually saw results after one use, and now my nails are tough enough to not break every time I crack open my laptop and start typing (an actual problem I was having).

I've been fostering a puppy and this has really helped manage the messes she makes around the house. She's peed on the couch and carpeted stairs a few times and this stuff is a real and true lifesaver. It leaves everything smelling fresh and eliminates dark circles around accidents, too.
Get it on Amazon Canada for $9.99. Available in three scents.
I have one of these and it's super simple to use, even if you don't have a green thumb. Just drop the included plant pods, fill it with water, plug it in, and let it get down to business. It only took a few weeks for my lettuce and basil to be harvestable and now, after a couple months of patience, my tomatoes are starting to bloom. I love it because a) it makes me feel like a successful gardener b) thanks to the reservoir, my plants won't die if I forget to water them for weeks, and c) now I have fresh herbs at my disposal at all times.
Get it on Amazon Canada for $259.95. Also available in grey and in a smaller size. It comes with three basil plant pods, three tomato plant pods, and three lettuce plant pods, but you can purchase different varieties, too.
I started using this stuff when I was working at a health food store in university and haven't stopped. While it hasn't cured any of my sicknesses completely (I turn to modern medicine for that), it does help ease my sore throat when I feel a cold coming on. Also, it tastes good enough to use even when I'm not sick, so I don't dread it like I do Buckleys.

I wear liquid eyeliner every single day (yes, even in quarantine), so I consider myself a connoisseur when it comes to this stuff. I find most liners fade or bleed throughout the day, but this one definitely does not. The felt tip makes it a cinch to apply, so you can achieve a wing in one easy swoop.

This candle smells, like, stupid good. I love that it's not sickly sweet, like all those vanilla and pumpkin spice scents you see in department stores. It also looks really great in my living room, thanks to the vintage-style tin.

When I bleached my hair, it was completely busted. It broke every time I brushed it and basically looked like one of those tumbleweeds you see in an old western movie every time I blowdried it — until I found this. It's thicker than most oils (a bit lighter than the consistency of gel) and combs through hair like a dream. It packs in moisture like nobody's business and also smells freaking amazing.

Because I love to snack while I work, I am horrible at keeping my computer clean. That means a keyboard protector is almost essential. This one is super light and doesn't move around my keys when I'm typing. It also has all the essential keyboard shortcuts (like screenshot and search bar) colour coded, so never have to Google how to do specific commands. It may not be the prettiest thing in the world, but boy, does it ever come in handy.

My boyfriend used to get enraged with me because I constantly left utensils in hot pans while cooking. To be fair, I've melted at least four spatulas in our kitchen, so he had a reason to be salty. To save us from dueling to the death, he bought this set of silicone spatulas. It comes with three different-sized spatulas, plus a spreader, which is great for icing baked goods. Now we can happily coexist in the kitchen without him following me around removing tools from various pots and pans.

Until recently, I was not a gloss gal. In fact, I was not a lip product gal at all (besides balm). But let me tell you, things have changed! I am obsessed with these lip jellies. They keep my cracked, chapped lips soothed and the colours are great. I am not lying when I say I am going to purchase every single one because they are so dang pretty.

You know what sucks about baking? Getting down to eye level with your measuring cup every time to see whether you've actual hit the one-cup line. This solves that problem by listing measurements on both the inside and outside of the cup. Now I don't have to do a squat to ensure that I actually poured out enough milk or flour.
Get it on Amazon Canada for $15.69.
Forgive me for these photos because this thing is impossible to take a picture of when it's in action. You plug the centre of it into an outlet behind your bed (or sofa) and the two extension cords split from the centre, so you and your partner both have ample space to plug in your doodads on either side. I used to have to give my boyfriend my phone and charger to plug in on his side of the bed every night, but now I have my own outlet and can happily scroll through Instagram with a fully-charged device until the wee hours of the morning. Each side has three two-prong outlets.

I turned on the heating in my apartment for the first time this year (I hate that statement as much as you do) and was treated to the not-so-lovely smell of stale dust cooking in my vents. I knew I had to solve this problem before it got too cold, so I purchased this microfibre duster. It gets all up in the small nooks and crannies of my ventilation system and is great for wiping dust off my TV, too. To make things even better, when it gets super dirty, I can just slide the microfibre cloth off the handle and throw it in the washing machine.

I recently had a deep-tissue massage and my RMT kindly told me my muscles hate me (in a nicer way than that, obviously). To ease the pain in my hands and wrists, they recommended applying heat regularly. While baths are great, I can't sit in one forever, so I bought this. I just pop the gel pack in the microwave, stick it to the band (it attaches with Velcro strips), and wrap it around my wrist to ease the pain. It also works as an ice pack and is the perfect size to use on your feet and forehead, too.
Get it on Amazon Canada for $14.99.
I am basically the queen of getting wires tangled. From headphones to computer cords, everything I owned used to have at least one knot in it — until I bought these babies. They've helped me keep everything that's not currently in use perfectly wrapped. Not only is this more convenient for me, but it extends the lives of my cords because I no longer spend minutes yanking at them.

I have dark but sparse brows, so filling them in is pretty much necessary. I love how fine the tip on this crayon is because it actually allows me to draw in little hairs, instead of colouring my brows in like blocks. The spoolie is also great for brushing away mistakes and harsh lines when I've gone in too heavy handedly.
Get it on Amazon Canada for $12. Available in seven shades.
They're great for messes in microwaves, stoves, bathrooms, and pretty much everywhere else in your home. I recently dyed my hair and, because I'm messy, got splotches all over my sink, floor, and walls. You know what helped me get rid of all those unwanted marks? One of these babies.
