And many agreed wholeheartedly with Rodriguez that her win "represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes."

Fellow Latina actors — like Eva Longoria — also joyously celebrated Rodriguez's win.

Mario Lopez was in total awe of her #LatinaPower.

And Tumblr was quick to capture Rodriguez's moment in the spotlight.

... And to immortalize her words.

Best speech of the night? Best speech of the night.

She even moved some to tears.

(Probably because her win felt so personal.)

The Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino also gave Rodriguez an enthusiastic shoutout.

... And the win got people talking about the glory that is Jane the Virgin.

As Parks and Rec's Retta pointed out, Rodrigeuz's win will hopefully mean great things for her in the future.

And her success is already motivating others to "hope that we can also do great things."

While the current state of Hollywood is far from perfect, Sunday night was a reminder of how far the Latina community has come.

And how much bigger Rodriguez's win is than the actor herself.

    She could. And she did.
