2. NYX Make-up Setting Spray, Matte Finish, (£7)

Tolani swears by this NYX product in the summer: "The matte finishing spray of my dreams. It really works and it cost less than a tenner. You spray it all over your face after applying your makeup (I spray it before applying too) and your makeup will stay matte for the whole day."

3. Barry M Make Me Blush Cream (£4.49)

I prefer a creme blusher in the summertime, and after reading this post, I tried out the Barry M blush cream. It's cheap and cheerful, and the colour is sheer enough to give you a rosy flush without making you look sweaty.

4. Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Mist (£7)

When it comes to suncream application, anything that makes life easier is OK by us. So this dry mist is perfect, efficient and pocket-friendly. "This cheap drug store purchase is amazing for arms & legs" – @adi_peltz

5. La Roche Posay Anthelios XL £11

When it comes to facial suncream, I'm really keen on La Roche Posay Anthelios, which is factor 50 and goes on under make-up like a dream.

If you've got more money then Hayley goes for Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF 50 (£35), "because anything less than 50 can GTFO and anything 50+ is usually thick and gross but this is not."

7. Lush Silky Underwear (£4.95)

I'm not keen on the name of this product, but if your thighs chafe in the heat then it's a game changer. Containing cocoa butter and jasmine, you just dust it gently over wherever may be chafing. Great for under a fiver.

8. Body Glide (£9)

If you're going to be active this summer, then you need something a bit stronger than Lush's Silky Underwear. Body Glide is a reliable anti-chafe balm that's perfect for when you're hiking, or playing sports.

11. MAC Liquidlast Liner (£16.50)

"If you want seriously heavy-duty stuff that won't come off in the sea etc, then this stuff by MAC is amazing. You literally have to scrape it off your eyelid (so I wouldn't use it as an everyday eyeliner) but it works!!" – Remee Patel

12. Rosewater Facial Spritz (£3.99)

"Rosewater face spray (Neal's Yard do a fancy one, and the Boots Botanicals one is nice and cheap). Cools you down and hydrates your skin in an air conditioned office, and the rose genuinely makes your skin look dewy with regular use." – Laura Silver

13. Eyebrow Brush and Comb (£1.99)

When things got hot and sticky, the last thing I want is to waste my Laura Mercier eyebrow pencil (the best!!) by smearing down my face. So instead, I go lo-fi. I spray hairspray onto a eyebrow brush and run it through my brows. It keeps things groomed and there's no danger of a brown streak on my temple when I sweat.

15. Evian Facial Mist (£5.99)

"Why would you pay six quid for a bottle of water?", I hear you type. Well, when you're stuck on a sweaty train on the way into work, this soothing and refreshing facial mist is worth its weight in gold. Plus it lasts, I've had the same bottle on the go for the past three summers.
