16 Things We've Recently Tried And Love, So We Think You Will, Too

Including the Skims triangle bralette, a splurge-worthy air purifier, a beautiful French press, and more.

This post features a mix of items that we purchased with our own money and those that were provided to us at no cost for the sake of review. (But! We’re under no obligation to write a review of those things, let alone a positive review.)

    1. Body Glide Anti-Chafe Balm you can spread on just about any part of your body (including, but not limited to, your inner thighs, feet, shoulders...) to help protect the skin from excessive rubbing (that can turn into a painful rash) while you're out on an adventure or just living your everyday life.

"All I can say about this stuff is YES! Actually, I have more to say. I hike a lot, and as the weather heats up, this stuff comes in clutch when hiking in shorts. I also slather it on my heels, the balls and pads of my feet, and all over my toes to prevent blisters, especially when I'm hiking over rocky terrain. I even put it on my shoulders to relieve some of the chafing from my backpack straps while carrying a 30-pound pack on the Trans-Catalina Trail in Southern California. It's also great for (amateur) dancing in pointe shoes and for hot summer walks around the city in a dress!" —Morena Duwe

Get it from Amazon for $10.99+ (available in six sizes and packs).

    2. A Skims triangle bralette one BuzzFeeder finds so comfortable and supportive, she has gone back to purchase it three more times — yes, it's that good. It's designed with a two-ply stretchy fabric that makes it almost feel like a second skin, which means you just may live in it. Plus, it comes in a variety of colors, but be warned, many do sell out and sell out fast.

"Dear god, I love this bra. I legitimately own it in four different colors now; nectarine (sold out, sorry) onyx, sand, and mykonos (also sold out.) And the reason? Because it is perfect! For reference, I am a 34D, and I wear a size medium in this bra. I obviously cannot speak to someone with a much larger bust than me; but for my breast size this bra offers the perfect amount of support and lift without being uncomfortable. It doesn't dig into me, or feel like it's leaving an imprint into my shoulders for life. I feel like I am wearing a comfortable sports bra, but I look like I am wearing a cute push-up bra. I wear it under sheer tops, with t-shirts on long walks, all day at work, out to eat, etc. I have not found a situation where I am not comfortable wearing this bra yet.

And at $34, its price point feels relatively fair to me. In fact, since purchasing this bra, I have not worn a single other type of bra. It is the only type of bra I wear now, and that is pretty dang impressive to me. I was skeptical of Skims at first. I thought maybe it was an influencer-hyped brand that was poor quality. And I am here to admit that I was wrong. Shout-out to you, Skims Fits Everybody Triangle Bralette. ILY." —Lara Parker

Get it from Skims for $34 or from Nordstrom for $32 (available in women's sizes XXS–4X and in 13 colors).

    3. Reusable puree pouches you can fill with homemade baby food or even just yogurt or applesauce (so you don't have to shell out SO much money for those pouches again and again at the store). They're easy to clean and seal from the side, making it simple for you to fill and your tot to enjoy.

"My son is going through a phase where he's refusing to eat anything that *isn't* in a pouch. One of my mom friends suggested trying these out, so I promptly added these into my cart. They arrived swiftly and have been a great solution to our dining problem! They're easy to fill, as the side opens like a ziplock bag, and even easier to rinse and reuse. We've been using them regularly and are thrilled with them. You can also fill and freeze them if you want to meal-prep your kiddo's food for the week." —Heather Braga

    4. Eli & Elm’s weighted comforter actually made with microglass beads, so it's thinner and doesn't move around as much as a weighted blanket made of sand does. You can even use it as your only comforter and put a duvet cover on it, hiding the fact that it's actually providing you some much-needed extra weight and comfort as you sleep.

    Ryan Schocket. / BuzzFeed

"I usually cannot stand weighted blankets. I hate that feeling of sand jostling all around the insides of the comforter. But with Eli & Elm's weighted comforter, it feels like a weighted quilt. No sand or weird materials inside moving all around. It’s microglass beads, so you don’t feel like there’s a whole mess inside. You know what I'm talking about. The original design is a plain white, so I actually put my duvet cover over it, so it looks great as your bed's main blanket. This is specific, but it's also great for anyone who's trying to start sleeping on their back — because it prevents you from tossing and turning. It's 300 thread count, luxurious, and I love it." —Ryan Schocket

Get it from Eli & Elm for $224+ (available in three sizes/weights).

    5. Live Tinted Hueguard that's a combination moisturizer + sunscreen + primer that won't leave a white cast on your face. If you're tight on time or just *despise* lathering layer upon layer of products in the morning, this is a great multi-use product that will help protect and prep your skin. It will help give you a nice glow, no matter if you're wearing it on it's own or with a full face of makeup over it.

Live Tinted is a South-Asian woman-owned beauty brand started by beauty blogger and entrepreneur Deepica Mutyala to create multitasking products that work for all skin types and shades. This product is vegan, clean, cruelty- and fragrance-free. It is formulated with 18% zinc oxide.

"I've recently introduced this gem into my skincare routine, and — holy cow — I'm not sure why it took me so long to give it a whirl. I've been writing about Live Tinted's products for some time, and finally decided to snag some of their goodies for myself. Hueguard injects a literal ray of liquid sunshine into my daily regimen because, gold. And it really, truly, leaves zero white cast on my face — plus there's no pilling, either! It blends seamlessly with my complexion, feels ultra hydrating, and is the perfect base layer for makeup. (That's me above after a few hours of wear with Hueguard layered under some Kosas concealer and One/Size foundation and, I've got to be honest — as someone who has had a few acne scars residing on their cheeks for some time and struggles with makeup application — I haven't seen my complexion look this smooth in a minute! AND my no-makeup-makeup look stayed put for hours!) I can't recommend Huegard enough if you're looking to try something new!" —Jasmin Sandal

Get it from Ulta or Live Tinted for $32+ (available in two sizes).

    6. A Fellow French press here to transform your mornings so you actually look forward to waking up and brewing a cup of joe. It has an insulated nonstick interior, meaning the coffee will remain hot for hours. And the matte black exterior will look SO nice just sitting out on your kitchen counter.

    Tafi Mukunyadzi / BuzzFeed

"I’ve only owned a drip coffee maker, so I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to use the press. The inside of the press wall has lines indicating how much ground coffee and water you need to add, which eliminates the need to measure out any of the ingredients. It also comes with a wooden spoon so you can stir your coffee during the brewing process. The mesh filter system consistently produces concentrated coffee that’s bold and smooth. I’m not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination, but I do enjoy taking the time to brew a pot of coffee every day." —Tafi Mukunyadzi

Get it from Amazon for $99 (available in two colors).

    7. A pebble bath and shower oil that activates when it comes in contact with warm water, transforming into a foam filled with hydrating oils and natural exfoliants. If your skin needs a little extra love after a ~rough~ winter, this will help transform your shower into a spa-like experience where you'll emerge with softer, non-greasy skin.

"Spring is finally here, and even though I love being outdoors more, my skin needs some time to adjust. My arms, legs, and hands feel super dry and the body wash I have isn't hydrating enough. I recently tried Kate McLeod's solid Bath & Shower Oil, and I LOVE IT. The Starter Kit came with a gorgeous reusable container and 20 Pebbles (small soaps) in a colorful package. Each pebble smells like eucalyptus and feels like a moisturizing treat for my skin. I've noticed my skin feels softer and smoother, plus I look forward to using the Pebbles when I take a bath or shower. Now all I need is a wood bath caddy, some battery-operated candles, and soft towels to complete my mini spa setup at home." —Genevieve Scarano

Get it from Kate McLeod for $48 (and the refill for $38).

    8. A nesting water bottle and travel cup you can take on all your adventures and always have water and a cup for any other beverages you may find yourself wanting along the way. One BuzzFeed editor loves this option because it means she can avoid using single-use plastic while at a coffee shop. OH — there's even a surprise silicone coffee lid stowed inside the bottle cap. Genius!

    Danielle Healy / BuzzFeed

"I am constantly trying to solve the problem of my near-constant desire for a beverage competing with my other desire to avoid single-use plastics. Recently, that has manifested in this purchase, which I am very pleased with so far. Both the bottle and cup are stainless steel and can keep beverages both hot and cold for hours. All the pieces stow together really easily. I was skeptical how well the silicone coffee lid would work, since some reviewers complained that it slips off from time to time, but I've yet to experience that. Though this unit is a tad heavier than my last water bottle, the fact that I now ALWAYS have a cup on me for an impromptu coffee run is well worth the negligible difference." —Danielle Healy

Get it from Amazon for $36.06+ (available in two sizes and in nine colors).

    9. A double-sided lint remover that gets DEEP into your clothes, furniture, and carpet to remove more hair than you might have thought possible. Don't be surprised if you end up with a small dog-sized hair pile when you're done (even if you don't own a dog).

    Abby Kass / BuzzFeed

I have a rug in my bedroom that we bought off Facebook Marketplace for $50. So, it's not the most high-quality rug, but it looks nice in the room and does its job. I had been noticing for a little bit, that even after vacuuming it, there was still a ton of hair and debris that was stuck in it. And no matter how many times I ran the vacuum over it, it did not pick it all up. So, I decided I needed something else to help. And after putting in this lint remover in approximately 597,573 posts (not an exact number, but probably close), I figured now was as good a time as ever to try it. I have to say, the more than 5,900 five-star ratings are correct. This thing is great. I started with the area on the side of the bed you can see above and had scraped up all that hair and gunk in only a couple of minutes. I did rest of the rug, and it looks SO much better. Well, as good as a $50 rug can really look. I will def keep these nearby and give it a scrape every once and a while to get rid of all the hair that accumulates. I don't even know how I have that much hair on my head. SMH.

    10. A boot and shoe stretch spray you may just want to have on hand for those times when you find an absolutely beautiful pair of shoes, only to open the package and realize they're a liiiitle too small. No need to deal with any returns or exchanges (ugh, the annoyance) when you can spritz this all over the shoe, wear your thickest pair of socks and walk around till the shoes dry. They'll fit better before you know it.

    Amanda Davis / BuzzFeed, www.amazon.com

"So, I have about three pairs of shoes that have just been sitting in my closet because while they are sooo so cute, the leather was too tight for my foot to comfortably get inside 'em. Did I return them? Nope. (We all know the hassle of online returns, right?) Instead I bought this shoe stretch spray on a whim. I didn't expect much but WOW! The shoes that took me a minute of struggling to get into fit *perfectly* now!!

The process was as simple as could be, too. I just sprayed my shoes (inside and out, heel to toe) like there was no tomorrow, I put on some semi-thick socks (just to ensure I had ample room later), and wore the shoes around my house for about 30–40 minutes. As I was walking around, I could literally feel them begin to loosen up.

After about 30 minutes, I took my shoes and thick socks off, and the shoes just ~slide~ on. Easy Peasy. Now I have a new favorite pair of shoes and zero dollars have been wasted. I tried these with a pair of chunky leather loafers, but I can only imagine what they'll do for my pair of Doc Martens — the boots known to take a while to break into. This stuff is a must!" —Amanda Davis

    11. An Apothenne x Kate Vanhorn candle that comes in scents of the four elements — fire, earth, water, and air. You can pick one based on the scent profile you prefer or pick up a couple to fit whatever mood you're in that day.

Apothenne LA is a Cali-based woman-owned small business creating candles made with a blend of essential and natural oils! All of the candles are handmade in their LA studio.

"Candles are all about setting a mood. Some days you want to breathe in something light and fresh, while other times you want your space to get you feeling fired up and bold. I have a lot of Libra placements on my chart, which is just astrology speak for being really indecisive when it comes to picking candles. So when I received this collection to try from Apothenne, I was excited to test them all out because each scent is so different.

The Fire candle has that punch of leather and sandlewood, while the Earth one smells very much like a garden after a spring shower. Air reminds me of my favorite tea, and Water of a calm beach. Each candle also comes with an affirmation and suggested meditation to tap into that element. On a recent cold and cloudy day, I tested out the Earth candle and meditation, leaving me feeling super grounded.

These are a great to gift any astrology lover — solo or as a set." —Andrea Ordonez

Get it from Apothenne LA for $33 (available in four scents).

"I recently got a sample of The Hair Edit's latest collection, and I am obsessssssed with this large flower claw clip. My toddler gets a real kick out of pulling my hair when I wear it down (lucky me) so more often than not I have it pulled back into a bun and accessorized with a claw clip. This cute floral option is so fun and makes my daily 'mom hair' look a bit cuter for spring!" —Heather Braga

"I got this as a Christmas gift from a friend, and I absolutely love it. My Neighbor Totoro is one of my favorite comfort movies, so I love having it watch over me. I will admit it was a little difficult to put together, and I dropped it once, causing me to have to start over when I was soooo close to the end. But trust me, it was so worth it. It's tiny, so it can easily fit on on top of my organizer on my desk. Plus, it is really cool to sit it on a light and watch it shine." —Tasia Bass

“Working remotely, I spend most of my hours in my room, and while lighting candles provides a fresh smell in my space that I love, I have to keep watch of it all the time to make sure I don’t burn the house down. Ciera Velarde / BuzzFeed, Birkenstock

"I am a hugeeee fan of Birkenstock, and this is my second pair I've owned. My first pair were basic black, and they still look good after about eight years of wear. I bought these was because I loved how the gold straps looked, and two years after buying them, they are without a doubt my most-worn shoe!! That's me on the left on my honeymoon — I wore them all throughout Italy, whether we were on the beach, on a boat tour, or walking around cities for miles on end. I love wearing them with dresses because the gold really *pops* and you end up feeling so comfortable, unlike when I wear less supportive sandals or heels. To make these last even longer, don't forget to use their shoe care kit to protect the cork and make the shoe waterproof!" —Ciera Velarde

Get it from Birkenstock for $110 (available in sizes 4–11.5 and in narrow widths).

    16. A tower HEPA air purifier worth the investment because it can remove up to 99% of dust and other air impurities in a space up to 782 square feet. If you're not the best cook, it can help get rid of any smoke, and it can even help eliminate other smells coming from your neighbors. (Isn't apartment living the best?) You'll actually be able to tell the difference in the air quality and hear it kick into gear, working hard to keep your space feeling and smelling great.

    the tower air purifier
    Negesti Kaudo / BuzzFeed

"I've had the Bemis Air Purifier Tower for over a year now, and...it's possibly one of my favorite things I own. This tower has a very sleek and discreet design, so I can place it anywhere in my home, and it doesn't stand out, but it's still chic enough that a lot of my guests ask me about it when they visit.

This tower lets me know: when my downstairs neighbor cooks (or burns) fragrant food, when my own food needs to be checked on, when something has gone rancid in my fridge or trash (aka, time to take it out), when people are vaping, when the incense has successfully covered all other smells in the house, and when candle smoke is in the air. Now, it doesn't beep or anything, but I've had it long enough to notice the difference in sound when the fan ticks up. The display turns red when the air quality gets bad and when it's on Auto, it will tick up the fan to help get it back to green.

Sleep mode is great, so you barely hear it if the room is dimmed or dark — if the light fluctuates often in the area you have it in, it will go back and forth between auto and sleep mode unless you put it on power save mode, which is great for when the light is weird, and you're doing a lot of cooking or burning incense in the room. The Cyclone mode is one of my favorite features because I can put the air purifier on full-blast when I need to get rid of um...smelly smells, that smell... smelly...if you catch my drift.

TLDR: I am very much in love with this air purifier, and I'm getting a puppy soon, which means it will be putting in a lot more work than usual. So, I'm *this close* to investing in another one because it's proven its worth." —Negesti Kaudo

Get it from Bio Bidet by Bemis for $599 (originally $699; available in two styles and two colors).
