Nah.
Nah.
The exchange between Cersei and Littlefinger was so far my least favorite thing the show added to the story.
” just that the actual experience of playing it, aesthetics and licences aside, is indistinguishable from games that have been out for decades.” Wow. Okay. Maybe if you’ve never known any way of playing fighting games other than button-mashing. The “mechanical depth” you mentioned has only gotten deeper as time goes on, and that makes all the difference to fighting game fans. If you’re going to try and argue that the experience of playing SFIV is just like playing SFII, with the only difference being better graphics, well… I’m going to seriously question your knowledge of fighting games.
I love allston. I feel like the “shittiness” of it is kinda overhyped. It’s probably the best part of boston to live in if you’re in a band, since there’s basement shows everywhere and three great venues. It’s also got my favorite bar in the city, Deep Ellum. You just gotta avoid the parts that are overrun with BU kids, but that’s easy enough.
Stannis doesn’t suck in battle. Far from it. He came pretty damn close to taking King’s Landing for one, and I can’t remember if the show mentioned this but he’s also one of the most skilled naval commanders in all of Westeros. No, Stannis’ main downfall is that most of Westeros just plain doesn’t like him.
I don’t think they’re talking about big bands, here. When you’re in a lesser-known band, touring is about getting your name out there… so you might be taking a loss or barely breaking even. Pretty accurate list here except the alcohol part. There are definitely at least a few nights on tour when I get really drunk but it’s not off of free alcohol. Most venues give you one or two drink tickets if anything…. on the first tour I went on, there were nights when I couldn’t have gotten drunk even if I wanted to, just because I couldn’t afford it. There ARE those cool venues here and there that give you really good deals, like half off anything or a big bar tab for the band, but they’re pretty rare.
Karmin are the duckface of bands.
When I was in high school the big lyric to quote was “well I guess this is growing up”
I don’t understand why people wear hats that way.
Karmin’s 15 minutes of fame need to end already. Maybe they have?
