Here Are The Top 10 Google Searches In Canada In 2015

A year captured in googling.

Google Canada has compiled its data to see which trending search results had the highest spike in traffic among Canadians in 2015, as compared to 2014. Here's what they found (and, if you're curious, here's how we compared to overall trends):

10. Caitlyn Jenner

This year, Caitlyn Jenner came out as a transgender woman. When she joined Twitter in June, she had more than 1 million followers within four hours.

9. Lamar Odom

In October, the former NBA star was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. He was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment. Now in more stable condition, he's been transferred and now being cared for at a hospital in Los Angeles.

8. Charlie Hebdo

In early January, the offices of satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris were attacked, killing 11 people and injuring 11 others. This marked the second attacks on the French publication.

7. Chris Hyndman

In August, beloved interior decorator and TV personality Chris Hyndman (then a co-host of the afternoon talk show Steven And Chris) passed away. While there was no official cause of death released, his mother revealed Chris was a sleepwalker, and believed he might have fallen off the terrace of his penthouse apartment.

4. Pan Am Games
