It definitely is one of the most 'English' sounding accents in Wales. Cardiffians don't sound like the typical valley accent types that you might be used to hearing.
I went for an interview for Lush once and it was the weirdest thing ever. It was a group interview where they had all the candidates sit in a circle on bean bags. Then we had to design a poster featuring our starsigns/favourite animals/favourite colours/etc. and what those said about…Â
