Ellen Degeneres is working on a new comedy series for NBC, One Big Happy, that will feature a lesbian lead character.
Not many details about the show have been revealed, but it's already the best show ever.
No names are attached to the project, so maybe we can put forward a few suggestions:
1. Leading Lady: Rashida Jones
She is everyone's dream girl — and not a stranger to kissing the ladies either. After Parks And Recreation, the least she could do is stay on our television screens.

2. Leading Lady: Ali Liebert
You may recognize her from the show Bomb Girls, may it rest in peace. She is adorable and sexy all at the same time; it's the best sort of confusing.
Straight Best Friend: Jon Hamm
Imaginary Scene: Hamm asks Leibert for sex advice when it comes to pleasing the ladies and is shocked by what he learns.
3. Leading Lady: Raven-Symoné
Her comeback is long overdue and this is the perfect role for the newly out actress.
Television needs more Raven — we all need more Raven.
Straight Best Friend: Jason Biggs
4. Leading Lady: Kat Dennings
On 2 Broke Girls, Kat had some pretty obvious chemistry with her female co-star, so why not step it up a notch?
She has proven herself to be one of the funniest ladies around. Period.
Striaght Best Friend: Dev Patel
5. Leading Lady: Jenna Ushkowitz
On Glee she is constantly stealing scenes, so why not give her a lead role already?
Straight Best Friend: John Krasinski
Imaginary scene: Jenna wants to know more about how straight people have sex, because she honestly doesn't get it. "Right, but how does that work..."
6. Leading Lady: America Ferrera
It's been a hot minute since Ugly Betty and this actress is simply too talented to not be a constant presence in our lives.
Straight Best Friend: John Cho
7. Leading Lady: Lizzy Caplan
The current star on Masters Of Sex, nobody keeps it as real as Lizzy Caplan while being equally endearing, gorgeous, and hilarious.
Nobody.
Pair her with New Girl's Jake Johnson and this is a done deal.
