Reminder: Paul Rudd Had The Worst Goatee Ever

How did we allow this to happen?!

Paul Rudd is a handsome man.

    A VERY handsome man.

Of course we first noticed him in 1995, when he played Cher Horowitz's adorable stepbrother Josh Lucas in Clueless.

Twenty years later, we're still thirsty for him. Just look at him in Ant-Man.

And in the time between those two movies, he experimented with all forms of facial hair, looking great every time. Here he is scruffy in 2002.

    And bearded in 2006.

And even more bearded in 2007.

But there's one look that not even Rudd could pull off. In 1999, the world allowed Rudd to LOOK...LIKE...THIS!

    Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!

This photo was taken when Rudd was on the red carpet for the premiere of 200 Cigarettes, where he was in a love triangle with Courtney Love and his gnarly facial hair.

But that was for a movie. A period piece, no less, that took place in the '80s.

After a quick look at his IMDB page, it is unclear that this epic follicle fiasco was for a movie or theater role. This facial hair may have been...intentional!

But thankfully, we survived. The Rudd-tee did not bring about the apocalypse. So let us all just be thankful for what we have now.
