The annual Sunday Times Rich List has revealed the number of billionaires living in the UK has passed 100 for the first time.
Russian business magnate and Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov dropped to second in the list after his fortune fell to £10.65 billion.
The highest placed Briton on the annual list is the Duke of Westminster, in 10th place, with an estimated fortune of £8.5 billion.
According to the Sunday Times, there were just 30 billionaires living in the UK ten years ago, with a combined wealth of £65 billion.
The entry point to be among the UK’s 50 wealthiest people has risen from £700 million a decade ago to £1.7 billion this year.
