    The Kid: SPOILER ALERT She's actually not technically a kid: She's a 33-year-old woman who suffers from hypopituitarism, which gives her a childlike appearance. Oh, and she's also an escaped mental patient with a lethal record.

    The Plot: While his father is on a business trip, Mark is sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Maine. He befriends his cousin Henry, though as the two hang out more, Henry's behavior becomes more and more violent.

    The Kid: Like a modern Bad Seed, we soon learn that this isn't the first time Henry has turned on his playmates, including his own flesh and blood.

    The Kid: Poor Regan's condition escalates pretty quickly, taking her over physically and disguising any trace of the little girl within. It's pretty scary to know your kid's still in there somewhere, buried under newfound cuss words and lots of pea soup.

    5. Toshio Saeki from The Grudge (2002)

    The Plot: Toshio and his mother are two murder victims stuck haunting the Tokyo house where their lives ended, including the new American family that has moved in.

    The Kid: OK, Toshio has had a very, very unlucky break, but that doesn't excuse following his mommy around on her murderous revenge hauntings. Mom-and-son bonding at its worst.

    4. Damien Thorn from The Omen (1976)

    The Plot: When Robert Thorn's wife Katherine has a stillbirth, a priest at the hospital offers the newborn of a mother who just passed in childbirth. Without telling his wife, Robert agrees (as one does), but strange happenings and Katherine's inability to connect with the child make everyone suspicious of the kid's origins.

    The Kid: Obvi Robert never received the "never accept babies from strange priests" talk, and suffers the demonic consequences. Damien's blank stares and creepy grins are enough to send chills up any parent's spine.

    3. Noah Wiseman from The Babadook (2014)

    The Kid: Not only is Noah a shrill and skittish boy, but he is also a chilling reminder that kids are more perceptive than we often give them credit for.

    The Kid: This fucking kid. Not only does he possess the perfect big-eyed blank stare and monotone delivery that makes a horror movie kid truly creepy, but he seems to be decidedly Team Samara from the beginning.

    He's of absolutely NO help to his mom Rachel the entire movie, just glowering and staring as she frantically tries to outsmart Samara's deathly plans. And when she finally thinks she's brought an end to the curse, who's sitting there waiting to rain on her parade? SPOILER, IT'S AIDAN. Ugh, this kid.
