Rumors were swirling over the past year that The Hunger Games franchise would live on past the movies in the form of a theme park — a la The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.
And this week those rumors were confirmed, as Entertainment Weekly reported that Lionsgate will officially be partnering with Dubai Parks and Resorts to open a theme park in Dubai in October 2016.
According to EW, the new experience will consist of three parks: Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, and Bollywood Parks Dubai:
The new Hollywood-themed park, Motiongate Dubai, is currently expected to include a Lionsgate zone that features Hunger Games-inspired attractions and retail facilities, as well as a DreamWorks Animation zone.
And you can expect to see other attractions from some of your favorite films, including a live stage show based on the Step Up film franchise.
Obviously, based on the ~content~ of the series, some people have mixed feelings about bringing this film to life.
