Posting thumbnails of their facebook profile photos seems like a violation of privacy. Why look it up at all? Can’t the newspaper announcements (which are public) just be funny on their own? There’s no need to go chasing after these people IRL, even if it’s just searching their names in Facebook (once upon a time, you were able to be unsearchable but that isn’t an option anymore.) Maybe I’m just a paranoid wackadoo, but if it were a screenshot of someone looking up my Facebook page, I’d be upset. This is, of course, assuming that they didn’t give their permission. I don’t think it’s reasonable that just having a Facebook account means you should expect having someone post something like this on a widely-read website without your knowledge or consent.
