We also need to normalize what is normal and not normal with nursing. It shouldn’t hurt. If it does, seek an IBCLC. We should education what to expect and when to introduce bottles if you choose and the risks of overfeeding by bottle and why waiting 4-6 weeks for a bottle is recommended…
Love the article, but I wish more info on why “moms can’t” typically means not enough knowledge or support. Encourage working with IBCLCs, getting more education on constant nursing is normal, and latching SHOULD NOT hurt. if it does, work with IBCLC and check with a preferred provider…
