Norma From "Orange Is The New Black" Used To Be In A Badass Punk Band

    And it was amazing.

If you watch Orange Is the New Black, you're familiar with Norma Romano.

The silent-but-sweet inmate is played by Annie Golden, and it turns out she's anything but quiet IRL.

The actress was the lead singer of punk band The Shirts in the '70s.

Here she is looking cool as hell while doing a little jig.

Golden also had a pop career, complete with a colourful '80s film clip.

Her song "Hang Up The Phone" was even included on the Sixteen Candles soundtrack.

The singer also performed the track on Late Night with David Letterman.

Here she is sporting some fierce '80s hair while being interviewed.

And the best part is that she didn't stop rocking out.

This is her completely owning the stage in 2003.
