Given it was a comedy about WW1 it would have been crass to joke about "The End" when it was a fate met by so many. But this is poignant without being overly dark.
Not entirely sure how you can trace your linage back to a man who died without children and lived at a time when official records are so sketchy that we have to rely on a poem for many details of his life.
I have Raynauds syndrome in my hands and feet - they shut down in the cold and its painful when the blood comes back. I did NOT expect to get Raynauds nipple in pregnancy!
