Suuuper basic. Boring. They use the obvious choice for an elimination phrase rather than think outside the box.

OK, this one is thematically relevant, but the repetition of the word "work" just sounds awkward. Plus, host China Chow's delivery is just so bland.

12. Paris Hilton's My New BFF — "TTYN."

This one actually kind of works given the show, but that doesn't excuse the fact that it's still terrible "texting slang" and this show itself was a mess.

11. Hell's Kitchen — "Give me your jacket."

Gordon Ramsay's stern persona elevates an otherwise simple command — "Give me your jacket" — into something that feels almost a bit sinister. But the real star of the elimination ritual is when he stabs the jacket through a hook, causing the eliminated contestant's picture to go up in flames. The catchphrase itself is overshadowed, knocking it back a bit.

10. Bridalplasty — "Your wedding will still go on, it just may not be perfect."

First of all, Bridalplasty was quite an awful show. The contestants were shallow, the premise itself pretty disgusting. But the elimination catchphrase is truly something to behold, claiming that any wedding not preceded by mountains of plastic surgery must be inherently imperfect. It's a disgusting statement, but in a "train wreck you can't look away from" kind of way.

9. Big Brother — "By a vote of X to Y, [person], you have been evicted from the Big Brother house."

The catchphrase itself is nothing special, but the robotic precision with which Julie Chen repeats it week after week is actually pretty impressive.

8. The Amazing Race — "I'm sorry to tell you that you have been eliminated from the race."

For once, a reality show host actually expressing remorse about having to eliminate contestants. And Phil Keoghan's accent makes it enjoyable to listen to, which is a bonus.

7. Flavor of Love — "Your time is up."

The literal clocks that Flav handed out to safe contestants really brought this one to the next level. No clock, no time, no Flav. It was a brilliant use of props, and always memorable.

6. Project Runway — "You're out."

With two simple words, Heidi Klum can cut anyone down to size. There are no frills, no rhetorical flourishes — just the simple takedown of that week's contestant. Which, when you think about it, is all you really need from an elimination catchphrase.

5. America's Next Top Model — "I only have one photo in my hands, and this photo represents the girl that is still in the running toward becoming America's Next Top Model."

Not technically said to the eliminated contestant, but rather to the final two girls each week, but that shouldn't matter. After all these seasons (sorry, Tyra — cycles), Tyra has mastered how to vary her tone, volume, and pauses in between words to gain maximum effect. And when she flips over that last image? ~DrAmA~.

4. RuPaul's Drag Race — "Sashay away."

Very #OnBrand. RuPaul knows what she's doing and drops the guillotine each week in a manner that only Ru could pull off.

3. Top Chef — "Please pack your knives and go."

Could there be a little more ~razzle dazzle~ to the Top Chef eliminations? Maybe. But the show knows that a little restraint can go a long way. Padma has such a cool, collected, and no-nonsense way of eliminating someone; it allows the focus to be on the contestant who must now go home instead of drawing all the attention to the judges.

2. The Apprentice — "You're fired."

One of the most recognized reality show catchphrases, "You're fired" is truly a work of art. The hand motion that Trump makes just seals the deal. Trump is known for being brash and blunt, and he ratchets up that persona in the boardroom. He has no time for bullshit — when you're done, you're done, and there's no way he's going to sugarcoat it.

THE elimination catchphrase, and perhaps one of the most iconic television phrases of all time. Survivor is considered by many to be the granddaddy of reality competition programming, and Jeff Probst's studied delivery of his catchphrase has become the standard against which all other catchphrases are compared. For the sheer influence that this phrase has had on the television landscape, there's no way it could be ranked anywhere but first.
