      1. Know if you have dense breasts or not. My mom’s mammogram came back clean and four months later she was diagnosed with stage 2 after she found a lump. The tumor wasn’t visible in the mammogram because she had dense breasts, but nobody let her know until after she found the tumor. Always ask if you have dense breasts when you get your mammogram.  2. Know where you’re donating to! Some cancer associations, like Susan B. Komen, only send a small percentage of their donations to finding a cure while their CEO’s make hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
