I had been harassing my parents to get a pug for years even though I knew they would NEVER have a dog. One day, during a rough period I was going through, my mom handed me this tiny box and told me she had a gift for me. I opened the box and found the photo of a pug puppy in it. My first reaction was “Oh wow thanks for printing a pug picture mom! Good joke!” Then my dad told me to look on the other side of the paper. There was a note saying “Congratulations, you are now the owner of this pug puppy!” They had bought the pug already and had planned to go get it the next day. I was hysterical. It was probably one of the best days of my life. I named him Cooper for Agent Cooper in Twin Peaks. He’s now 1 year and 2 months old and we are best buddies. He brings so much joy and happiness in the house! My mom, who hates animals, couldn’t see herself not living with Cooper now. He’s a troublemaker but has the most loving and affectionate personality. He’s the best.
