10. James Laurinaitis Could Have Been a Wrestler

Somehow there was a twist of fate, which led this superstar linebacker for the St. Louis Rams choose football over wrestling in his OSU years. Laurinaitis' father, Joe Laurinaitis, was one half of the WWE tag team "Road Warrior Animal" His uncle, Joe Lautinaitis was also a pro wrestler, but is now a producer in the WWE.

9. Urban Meyer OSU link

Urban Meyer couldn't stay in Florida forever. This Ohio citizen returned to the Buckeye State and is now the current head coach at OSU. Meyer admires Ohio football so much, that in high school he played with No. 45 to honor Buckeye legend Archie Griffin.

8. The Legend of Archie Griffin

By the way, Vincent Fisher has no doubt Archie Griffin was the best college football player ever. The running back became a back to back Heisman Trophy winner in 1974-75.

Earle Bruce was Woody Hayes replacement as coach in 1979. Vince Fisher adds before Earle Bruce's coaching career started at his alma-mater, he was a high school star in Allegany High. He is sometimes confused with Penn State's assistant coach Earl Bruce, because of their almost identical names.

Harold and Howard Courtney were two brothers that served as captains for OSU at the same time in 1917.

4. Ohio's Sovereignty over Michigan

From 1934-1937, Ohio State had four straight victories, which had the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines 112-0. There was no touchdown in sight for Michigan within those four years, leaving Michigan fans to hope for better next football season.
