It's summer! That means more time to spend with your children and family. The best way to do that, is to head down to Ohio where they pride themselves on having some of the best amusement parks. Vincent Fisher has compiled a list of the top five amusement parks in Ohio.

5. Coney Island

Coney island is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Although it is a small amusement park, it has a vast array of rides and a waterpark. Admission to the park starts at $22, so it is great for families on a budget.

4. Stricker's Grove

Stricker's Grove is a family owned amusement park in Ross, Ohio.For only $14 you can get an unlimited amount of rides. It is perfect for those in the family who are die-hard thrill-seekers. A good mix of flat rides and 2 roller coasters, one of which is perfect for novice coaster riders. You can bring your own food or order some which is delicious and affordable. Vince Fisher says the catch is, it is only open 4 days in the year.

3. I-X Indoor Amusement Park

If you are in Cleveland, Ohio in the spring, then you cannot miss out on all the adventure happening at the I-X Indoor Amusement Park. The park consists of 20 acres of fun for the entire family. There are loads of rides, entertainment, fair food, special events and you may get star struck with one of the many celebrity appearances that take place there. For an admission fee of $22, you can avail yourself to all the wonderful rides I-X has on offer.

2. King's Island

King's Island is a massive 364 acre park in Mason, Ohio. The park has over 80 rides, shows and attractions. Roller coaster riders will not be disappointed, because King's Island has 13 roller coasters, enough to keep them busy throughout the day. If it gets too hot for you, you can head down to the 33 acre water park within the amusement park. Admission is a bit pricey at $55, but it is worth it, since King's Island has a lot to offer. It has won Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Award for the "Best Kid's Area" in the world for twelve consistent years(2001-2012) Vincent fisher recommends King's Island for parents with young children.

1. Cedar Point

Last but not least there is Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. It is a 364 acre park and admission is $55.The park boasts a world record of 72 rides, which includes 16 roller coasters.Near the park is a one mile long white sandy beach, the outdoor water park called Soak City, an indoor water park called Castaway Bay and several resorts nearby. Vincent E. Fisher highly suggests this park to thrill seekers, since it is the only amusement park in the world to have four roller coasters taller than 200 feet - Magnum XL-200, Millennium Force, Wicked Twister, and Top Thrill Dragster. Cedar Point has also received the Golden Ticket award for "Best Amusement Park in the World" from Amusement Today for the past 15 consecutive years.
