Has COVID Affected Your Thanksgiving And Christmas Plans? What Are You Doing Differently This Year?

New traditions, anyone?

This year's been a bit of a bummer, to say the absolute least, especially due to the pandemic. With the CDC advising to only celebrate Thanksgiving with your household this year, many people are figuring out how to celebrate without all of their loved ones.

If your holiday plans have been affected and altered, how are you celebrating in a different way?

Are you keeping it as close to tradition as possible? Maybe sticking to your favorite menu — and just adding a smart device to your table to virtually celebrate with your loved ones?

Or are you using this year as an opportunity to create totally NEW traditions? Maybe ditching the boring Thanksgiving turkey and instead ordering in a wildcard favorite, just because?

If you live in a warmer region, are you doing a smaller outdoor Thanksgiving or Christmas this year, in line with the CDC's considerations for small gatherings?

Have you decided to donate money or a meal in lieu of what you'd put toward a big dinner? Perhaps even host a virtual food drive!

Or, are you keeping to yourself this year and celebrating the holidays on your own?

No matter what it is, comment below with what you're doing instead of your traditional holiday plans this year! You could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post, and maybe inspire some other people on how to make the best of the holidays.

And if you had to have a conversation with your loved ones explaining why you wouldn't be attending the holidays in person this year, tell us how you told them and how they reacted here.
