that they are useless. one thing i’ve learned from covid is that apart from doctors and nurses, the minimum wage workers (delivery drivers, grocery store clerks, etc) were the most important and useful people during the pandemic. without them it would’ve all gone to hell.
The scene in American psycho where Patrick Bateman throws the chainsaw down the stairs and the girl gets sawed in half, couldn’t get it out of my mind for days.
