A quick guide to getting to know me - your new HD of the Burnhams!

1. I'm From Neenah, Wisconsin

Neenah has a population of about 30,000 people. My graduating high school class was 650 students. We are known for making sewer covers and kotex tampons. I spent most of my summers in college getting to know the tampon business by working endless 12 hour shifts in the factory.

2. Undergrad: UW-La Crosse (Go Eagles!)

I lived on campus at UW-La Crosse for 4 years (2 years as an RA, 2 years on the Campus Activities Board) and graduated with degrees in English and Music. Although the mascot is an eagle, there's a sweet little polar bear in the "L" logo. Can you find it?

3. Grad School: University of Central Missouri (Go Mules & Jennies!)

I was a GA Hall Director for 2 years while I got my master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration at UCM. Did you know that a "jenny" is the female version of a mule/donkey?

4. I'm An Only Child With Four Parents

I've got a bit of a unique family since my parents got divorced and both remarried so I have four parents and no brothers and sisters. Also - I wish that was me in the gif but it's only the first thing that popped up when I searched "only child gif" on google.

5. My Partner's Name Is Jessica

We met in grad school and have been together for 4 years. She also works in Residence Life and currently lives in Milwaukee but hopes to move to Kalamazoo soon!

6. I Have Two Cats

Winnie (left) and Josie (right). They just moved in together when I moved to Kalamazoo but they don't really like each other yet. Josie is confident and cocky. Winnie is skittish and sweet. Josie likes to go on walks outside and Winnie sometimes gets scared when I walk in the room. They are, however, both the best.

7. I Love and Play Music

Throughout high school and college I was in a band and still write music. Some of my favorite artists: Damien Rice, Rogue Valley, Death Cab for Cutie, Sufjan Stevens, Guster, Ben Folds, Wilco, Andrew McMahon, and Passion Pit. I mostly sing and play acoustic guitar but also play piano and percussion.

8. I Love Sports

I'm a huge Minnesota Vikings and Orlando Magic fan. Both are bad about 90% of the time.

9. I Am Active and Wear Bandannas Whenever Possible

I love to run, play basketball, play racquetball, golf, and hike. Basically, I'm down for any activity. Pink bandannas are my favorite.

10. I Like To Travel and Explore New Areas

In the past 10 years I've lived in Wisconsin (La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee), Missouri, Colorado, Delaware, and now MICHIGAN! One of my favorite things is to explore a new city and learn all about the culture and history. One time I walked all around Philadelphia for 16 hours in flip flops. That was a terrible idea.

11. Favorite TV Shows

Scrubs, LOST, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Modern Family, The Office, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Felicity, Shark Tank, 30 Rock, Catfish and many others. I'm also a huge fan of murder mysteries and thriller movies. Netflix during a duty weekend is ESSENTIAL.
