Lets be real, Aang was a total Hufflepuff. He valued kindness and patience over everything else and he was absolutely terrified of letting people down. People who dislike him are the same people who think only Gryffindors can be protagonists.
Thank you! That was so out of character for him that it ruined the movie for me. Toy Story 3 still has the best ending. It's bitter sweet, but leaves the possibility for new equally exciting adventure with them all together.
