Wendy Williams Is Being Called Out Over Her Anti-Gay And Anti-Trans Comments On Her Talk Show

"Looky here now, gay men, you'll never be the woman that we are, no matter how gay."

Wendy Williams is in hot water...again.

While discussing Galentine's Day on her talk show on Thursday, the controversial host went on a bizarre rant calling out gay men for participating in the made-up holiday.

"I don’t care if you’re gay. You don’t get a [menstruation] every 28 days," Wendy continued. "You can do a lot that we do, but I get offended by the idea that we go through something you will never go through."

As if that weren't enough PR damage, Wendy went on to say, "And stop wearing our skirts and our heels," referencing the rise of gender fluid fashion made popular by stars like Billy Porter and Ezra Miller.

"Just saying, girls, what do we have for ourselves?" Wendy pressed, adding, "Looky here now, gay men, you’ll never be the women that we are. No matter how gay."

Naturally, many people were offended by her comments, with one person tweeting, "I am a straight woman and I was offended! Some shit you should KEEP TO YOURSELF."

Woah... did @WendyWilliams just say gay men need to stop wearing high heels & skirts ??? Crazy because a lot of Gay men & Trans men support her because SHE LOOKS ALOT LIKE THEM! I am a Straight woman & I was offended! Some shit you should KEEP TO YOURSELF ‼️🙄😒

"That was really uncalled for," another person added. "Gay men do not want to be women."

Okayyyyy that was really uncalled for @WendyWilliams . Gay men do not want to be women.

One user called the comments "anti-trans," writing, "Sorry, Wendy. You're not the decider of who can be a woman. Every person gets to decide who they are."

#WendyWilliams going on an anti #trans rant for no good reason. Whining about periods as though periods are what's most important about women. Sorry, Wendy. You're not the decider of who can be a woman. Every person gets to decide who they are. Your input is not welcome.

Other people just flat out called it what it is: ignorance.

@WendyWilliams really? What sort of ignorance is coming out of your mouth regarding gay men wanting to be women!! Really Wendy?

"Let the gays wear their skirts and heels; they are the reason you look good when you step out on your stage," another person wrote.

@WendyWilliams let the gays wear their skirts and heels they are the reason you look good when you step out on your stage

Wendy has yet to respond to the controversy, but we will keep you updated if she does.
