Say something you shall! There is no in-app commenting available, rather you have the freedom to comment per article by navigating to a web view (this is true for both BuzzFeed News stories and articles by other major news organizations). This is most easily accomplished by copying and pasting the link into your web broswer. Want to comment in the app? Let us know!
What is “Major Breaking News?” What kinds of stories are in this alert category?
Major Breaking News consists of fast moving stories that command a high level of national and international attention. We won't send these notifications often! Some past examples include the Charlie Hebdo attack, Hillary Clinton's formal decision to seek the presidential nomination and the FIFA scandal.
How do I know what articles will be pushed in each alert category?
Our categories have been kept broad in order to allow for the constant intersection of news topics, but some past examples of each alert are:

New content will be added to your stream in real-time; no restart needed! As stories that fall under your selected interests are published (visit our alerts page to select/update yours) you'll get a clear notification at the bottom of the app screen. Otherwise, please refresh to enjoy new articles! We are working hard to find the best way to make you aware when new stories are published or currently unfolding stories are updated. Have any ideas on how we can do that? We'd love to hear them!
How often is/will the app be updated with new articles?
Our editors work hard to produce and curate excellent content, 24/7. Our team is committed to providing you with relevant, of-the-moment information.

We could never be mad at you! We know how busy and important you are; we only want to interrupt your day for the most urgent, interesting stories (in short: while all of our articles are delightful, not all of them will be tied to a push notification). Be sure to check the following:
