British photographers Naroop Singh Jhooti Naroop Singh Jhooti and Amit Amin were inspired by the sudden popularity of beards as a fashion statement. They found the facial hair craze intriguing because in Sikh culture the beard is a constant, a key tradition, and an integral identifying feature of a Sikh male.

The duo photographed Sikh men of different ages and diverse backgrounds to showcase the beard and turban as a common symbol of Sikh pride and celebration. Now, they're raising money on Kickstarter to fund an exhibition showcasing the Singh Project.
