"You know of what humanity is deprived? A place where we can enjoy poop and food together," the owner of the new Poop Café Dessert Bar in Toronto, Lien Nguyen, thought to herself, probably.
Yes. You are hearing this right: We will soon welcome a café entirely themed around going number two.
The café will be outfitted with poop décor, including toilet seats for patrons to sit on in lieu of chairs...
...while they ingest an assortment of poopy desserts.
While this literal shit might be news to us, toilet-themed restaurants have been trending in parts of East and South Asia for some time.
(And where entrées and desserts are served in tiny toilets, like this one in Taipei, Taiwan.)
Nguyen was inspired to bring the concept to Canada after a trip to Taiwan, she told the Toronto Star.
Nguyen, who's been hard at work putting together the aesthetics for her new business, says she's "trying to make poop cute.”
And adds, optimistically: "People will change their minds about poo.”
Idk, girl. At the moment we are all still trying to pick up what you're dropping down.
