OMG so according to Food & Wine, Queer Eye's sexy avocadude Antoni Porowski has plans to OPEN A RESTAURANT IN NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!!!
He announced the plans — which were allegedly "supposed to be a secret" — last night at a panel at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan!!!
"I’m all about like cheese and pork belly and decadence, and as a result of the increased vanity of being on camera all the time and working out and eating healthy, I’m developing a fast-casual food concept restaurant that I’m gonna be opening here in New York," were his, like, *EXACT* words.
At said panel, Antoni revealed that he'd worked as a waiter, a busboy, a manager, and a sommelier all at a family-run Polish restaurant. "I have experience more on the front-of-house side of things," he said, "but I’ve always had a strong reverence and a respect for chefs." He then paused for a moment. "I just thought of Bourdain."
Antoni also addressed his much anticipated cookbook, which he revealed will have 100 recipes. He added, "and I think...oh my God...not one of them has avocados in it!"
Since Antoni himself is Polish, I'd put a P-H-A-T wad of cash down that some fab pierogies will outshine his avocado fetish on his future restaurant's menu. But who knows? Guess we'll all just have to wait, see, and EAT AT HIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!
